Hovie is one of the GREATS. I first learned of him, Jake & the statesmen from the Gaither videos. What a standard they set & still hasn't been met IMO. Can't wait to meet you in that city Hovie.
I am 77 years old and when I was a teenager I used to go to the local tv show of the Statesmen in Atlanta.I have always loved them, Jake was my favorite andChief was my cousin's favorite.
Hovie Lister made a great contribution to Southern Gospel music and was a top personality as well.
