Wow, is it like... wow. VTM was the perfect TV network I had never seen before, and now I see everything. Amazing job. I can't wait for what logo history will be next. We'll never know.
_Very amazing ident history of VTM, Jonty!_ Belgium is another pretty interesting European country, and their logos and television idents are no exception, with VTM's idents being prime examples, with fantastically done visuals and animations, with the 1989 CGI-animated ident (0:17) and the Ka2 (now VTM2) idents from 1995 (10:48). The 1995 idents from Ka2 are what I think are the best ones from any of the VTM channels, due to their well-made live-action special effects; it helps that they were created by Lambie-Nairn (same creator behind the iconic BBC Two 1991-2001 idents from the UK and the Channel 4 logo, also from the UK). The only bad quality is about the opening variation (9:40) since it takes too much both on the eyes and ears, not helping is that the variation is absurdly lengthy (about a minute long), but despite all that, all idents from the 1995-1996 set are well made, and it's such a shame that they weren't used for long, not helping is that their next set of idents, while still good, doesn't stand out from its predecessor.
Thanks again, Man! It is a neat-looking country, and their television idents are superb. That 1989 ident is a fantastic way to start your morning (given the fact that it was used during start-ups and closedowns. The 1995 idents from Ka 2 are indeed brilliant, and while I can understand why some people might find the startup repetitive, I don't believe it's bad. Lambie-Nairn created some of the greatest idents out there, and it's a shame it was only used for one year. Stay tuned for my logo history on Critical Content, featuring Relativity Television.
Both VTM and RTL-TVI are owned by DPG Media, with RTL-TVI (from RTL Belgium) are one of few divested divisions of Luxembourg-based RTL Group. The Netherlands division of RTL have a pending sale with DPG in 2023, currently in the approval stage.

It's from TR3X's ident history on VTM (in which he's credited at the end) I used Online Video Cutter to remove the text.
@@JontyMasterWell, the original video though? Is it lost media or what?
@@Danbytronic I couldn't find it.
