- An FAA airworthiness directive, published on April 17th with an effective date of May 22nd, has been issued to address a failure of the standby power control unit (SPCU) under certain conditions. According to the FAA, the notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM), issued in August 2023, was prompted by a determination that the loss of a ground through the P6 panel resulted in the failure of this power control unit.

737 NG was perfect, very reliable and very low crash rate
perfect plane isn't suppose to have crash rate at all
@@engerbendized2503 The vast majority of crashes are not to do with the plane, pilot error is the most common reason planes crash.
Crash rate really isn’t how you should measure how safe and reliable something is
@@Matty12333 But is it "pilot error" when instruments gives false data?

@@mohwybar5832 I changed it. Happy now?🤣
Rightly so. If the government and regulators can’t hold them to account due to lobbyist pressure there’s nothing wrong with public pressure. Even if over the top ar times, can’t say it’s harsh Boeing
I like redundancy, in AOA sensors, Turbofan engines, and power sources; however there is only suppose to be one and only one path to ground. When you add multiple paths you get grounding loops and they cause all sorts of problems and are very hard to track down. I have done it, so I do not know how this is going to work out. Maybe doing it right the first time with heavy enough and quality parts would be the right answer.
What do you expect when their habbit are cuts any corner?😂
Then again, multiple layers of protection and redundancy does make it more complex but at the same time it's a plane, it has to have back up
Quality issues, where have I heard that before? Oh right, Boeing of course!
So...at the end the only 737 that had no problems was the one used for the presentation show !
nice coverage
*Just another normal day at boeing.*
Come on man.... will this ever end
"Air Worthy Directives" are not uncommon, and they occur with all aircraft types.
This is just the beginning of the beginning
That climb by Boeing in beginning of the video is so cold 😮
Big parachute must be made compulsory for all Boeing aircrafts so that even if falls, it will land slowly. And yes, parachute should not be made by Boeing.
correct!
Wouldn't that require stalling the aircraft first?
passengers should also get parachutes for the airbuses that fall
@@nickolliver3021 Now you are here too Boeing fanboy!!
@@parimal7528 nope I'm neutral
This summer, when I travel, I'm going to specifically buy tickets for planes that are not boeing.
Things getting more complex, or Boeing buying the cheapest parts in or to save money? Or just outsourcing again?
i think aviation channels making small to smaller thing headlines for Boeing.FAA airworthiness directions is not uncommon, they usually do every now and then , it happens with every airliners.
I'm sticking to flying with NGs now, they are safer
NG's have AD's also... SO do Airbus airplanes.
Isn't the airworthiness directives issued all the time...but people forget about other plane because of boeing
Airlines who have the MAX on order must be wondering if they should of gone to Airbus🤔
Delta was smart and didn't order any Max aircraft.
bobby1970: Delta Airlines has ordered 100 Boeing 737 MAX 10.
Airlines want cheap planes
Given so many issues happening to Boeing. They are doomed and lose their business to Airbus.
That will never happen
Currently with duopoly it will never be happened. Unless comac can supply its domestic aircraft and some allies country with china do, they will lose it.
I will never fly with Boeing again!

you have to fly ultimately onboard on max …😂
Luckily I flew on the 737 NG not the max!
That's okay, little do you know that other airplanes have AD's too.
So how many more people have to die or be injured before the FAA finally stops thinking about money lost and start thinking about lives lost?

The brought up their own curse.
All the system is cursed, not just in aerial industry, in food, drugs and etc...
You get what you pay for.
It's a self imposed curse. Boeing has suffered 27 years of mismanagement so far and that takes its toll.
This isn’t about luck. It’s decades of complacency & profit seeking disregarding quality.

What is wrong with 737 maxes?
This “plane” is it can be called that is nothing but problem after problem after problem and yet there are still airlines willing to sacrifice their passengers and more importantly their staff on this flying coffin. Once again big business looking after money not people.
Boeing should sell the company to Airbus and start fresh and clean, with all new management.
Airworthiness directives are issued all the time for all aircraft. The 737 doesn’t deserve extra attention for them. You’re not helping the situation in any way.
