What a rich Word! that was awesome! Revelation coming forth off the pages and from our soon coming King! Thank you Pastor Bob for mining out the treasures
Isaiah chapter 9 verse 6 through 7 God said unto us a child is born unto us a child is giving in the government shall be upon his shoulders and he shall be called wonderful counselor Everlasting father Prince of Peace and of his government there should in Kingdom there should be no end
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. This passage from the Book of the prophet Isaiah is read every three years in my church on The Third Sunday of Advent, which falls between December 11-17. It is also read on September 4-10 and also on October 18, which is the Festival of St. Luke, Evangelist. The third Advent Candle is lit on this Sunday. The light in the dark world that the people were living in at that time has gotten a little brighter.
A follow-up: Isaiah 43:8-13 can also be read on the Festival of St. Luke. If you haven't done so, maybe you can do a talk on that passage in the future.
