  • Hank gives us a tour of the most important table ever, including the life story of the obsessive man who championed it, Dmitri Mendeleev. The periodic table of elements is a concise, information-dense catalog of all of the different sorts of atoms in the universe, and it has a wealth of information to tell us if we can learn to read it.

A neutron walks into a shop and says,"I"d like a coke."
The shopkeeper serves up the coke.
"How much will that be?" asks the neutron.
The shopkeeper replies, "For you? No charge."

Do not wait your whole life to learn what's important now! I have learned many things in my life I would have laughed at anyone suggesting that I would one day pass Trigonometry, Calculus, Biology etc... with a 4.0 gpa and actually use these subjects in my real life. I have been a soldier (Lance Missile systems, N.B.C. "Nuclear Biological & Chemical Operations NCO) as a civilian, I've been a Police Officer, Firefighter and now a retired Professional Line Haul Truck Driver) and I used every bit of my education in all of these job's! The remarkable thing is, While in High school, My gpa was a joke, I just didn't care. I failed all my math classes, never past chemistry, and only had two "A"'s, one in child and the other (strangely) in Greek mythology.
My point is, to those of you younger ones, NEVER EXCEPT ANYONE TELLING YOU TO JUST QUIT! They and believe me "YOU" most of all have no clue yet where your life will lead you.!!!!!!
Do not give up, if someone as screwed up as I was can make it....so can YOU!!!!
