The water in Brahmaputra river is not dirty but it is deep and has strong undercurrents. What is the significance of these undercurrents for good swimmers, I do not know, but many a good swimmers have lost their live in these waters. So, they avoid swimming to far into the river or try crossing the river.

Its the only river thats not a line on a map, its width is huge and current is enormous. Only trained swimmers dare to take the risk sometimes. Dheeraj just says I don't know and keep staring the phone the whole time.
For the non veg section starting from snacks u can try very famous Talukdar's Fast food in Rehabari (only in the evening), a lot of non-veg restaurants near Uzan Bazar, Guwahati High Court and Dighalipukhuri and bro don't forget to visit Navagraha Temple and Belly View nearby, U will have a good experience all together 👍🏻
