Thank you Alux. I literally trekked long long miles everyday to go to school here in Cameroon 🇨🇲, Africa. Always woke up at 4am did hard chores like fetch water from cold freezing steams, split wood, wash dishes and clean the house before I trek to school at 6am. Although I went late some times. I loved it all. I can literally survive anywhere on earth. I learn a lot about Business and Planning from UA-cam especially Alux channel. UA-cam best teacher.
The cost of college has gone up 1500% since 1980, unless wages did the same (they didn’t), the value proposition isn’t the same today.
Yes, very high now, online education is the best now

My, Oh my! Where do I even start? Of course, I have learned so much by watching UA-cam videos. UA-cam has exposed me to a world of knowledge and lots of opportunities. I have acquired endless experiences and knowledge I did not learn in my college years and these have allowed me to build a successful business that is thriving. People who once disagreed with me when I stated that UA-cam is not a social media platform, but a learning institution have since changed their minds. UA-cam has been a game-changer. I personally considered UA-cam not only as a place to learn but also a place where to receive practical and hands-on training virtually. It was UA-cam where I found my favorite and number one go-to for encouragement, inspiration, and motivation. ALUX IS MY UNIVERSITY. Thank you so much!

I learned a lot about cooking on UA-cam from Gordon Ramsay's channel. He's one of the best cooks in the world, and every small trick he is explaining helps improving. That's the awesome thing about youtube, some of the greatest experts in their niches are making videos and upload them for everyone to learn without paying a dime. Colin Furze is another good source, I've learn a thing from or two.
I am learning the basic concepts of SQL and Java and refreshed and updated my skills in MS Excel and MS Power Point
They are 100% righ to put UA-cam last. It took UA-cam forever to finally upload finance, business, stocks, crypto, and entrepreneurship videos.
As a pharmacist with 3 decades of experience, I found out that it means nothing compared to new graduates when it comes to getting a retail setting job after I relocated from Maryland to Florida. Sad, but true.

Hola, during this lock down I'm learning how to cook peruvian food. I have been welcomed as a guest in many countries around the world imagine when my friends learn I can cook a kind of food which is meant to be positioned as fancy as in opposite to mexican tacos.
The channel is so big and influential and we expect you not to make mistakes. You put the same title for the 14th and 15th tip.

One thing I learned today is that "learnt' is a word. I'm sorry (not sorry) but I had to Google it when I saw it in the lessons.
My tiny house cost me only $1,000 to build and has everything, even a house sized bathtub and full size couch.
I read books and watch videos on investing in the stock market, forex, real estate, etc. from UA-cam. I never took a course in it, I taught myself about personal finance, most definitely invest in myself buying books either personal finance, investing, real estate and books on people who poor and now are wealthy/rich. I was writing a book myself but I have writer's block and haven't been able to write lately.
I just read A World Without Work, it covers this same typic. Good read

It’s a boon, there’s no need to worry about losing the jobs to automation, there will always be something for everyone.
Nice advice. Especially the volunteer. Btw makes no sense to waste 4 years or more academically in a university!! Not today. That should be recognised by most industries.

It's good for self-studying math. I would still buy textbooks alongside it, but it's a great resource for math and physics education for sure! I don't know so much about the computer science section yet, you have to ask someone about their opinion on that part of Brilliant.

QUESTION - internet was supposed to be this great equalizer and now we have access to more information for free than anyone in history. Yet inequalities and questions about education remain. What components of education are there that information alone cannot provide? It seems to me to highlight the importance of teachers - formal and otherwise - yet I don't have a good framework to articulate why they matter. Thanks!

Although I love this channel, I take issue with this video. It didn’t address the person losing they job to technology. It simply suggested you learn or increase your generic soft skills. If your losing your job to technology wouldn’t the answer be learning technology or indulging in a tech based skill. If a person losing their burger flipping job to robot flippers then wouldn’t the answer be learn to program, fix, create robots, own the place something like that? Not one of the 15 or bonus addressed a person losing their job to technology, I would change the title to this video it seems like clickbait.
