A friendly suggestion. While grinding or doing other work where fine dust is produced, pls ensure you wear a proper nasal mask. This will save damage to your lungs in the long run. This maybe inconvenient while working but is a life saver. The fact most Doctors won't tell you is, when it comes to lungs(unlike heart or kidney) there's very little medical advancement and cure. Pls don't expose yourself to COPD or Fibrosis or asbestosis. Thanks for reading. Take care.
More bat repair videos please! few questions below: 1) what glue do you use to repair cracks 2) you do no oil the bat, but apply wax at the back of the bat, what's the reason? 3) noob question: what instrument do you use the sand down the bat? Thanks and keep up the great work!
Jasjit Mangat from my opinion, 1. Superglue for small fissures, wood glue or epoxy for large splits. 2. Wax is used for a polished look to the bat, whereas raw linseed oil conditions the bat face. 3. That is an Orbital sander. Range of prices to suit and 100,180, 400 grit for coarse, medium and fine sanding respectively.
Good content appreciate all the work few question for you 1. How to make a new bat ready for match. ? 2. Is it really required to do oiling ? I see ur applying wax, what us the reason?
the bat wax is the same as the oil, just for beginners, and for the back of bats it makes it look shiny i would recommend oiling because it increases the lifespan of the bat and less prone to cracking or snapping, and to make a bat match ready get it knocked in, apply a facing, and i would recommend slowly playing it in by at first facing slower bowling and only defensive so the bat gets used to impact
@fantail cricket. just a quick question, I'm wondering that don't you suppose to oil the bat after you are done with the refurbishment and put on the face tape.
that's such a funky shaped bat. what are the advantages of having such a sharp cut off from the middle to the toe? and how does it compare in performance to a more traditional shape of bat?
Really love u.i have a question .i want to learn how to refubish bat.so how can i learn it fully in how much time.and which equipments we need for this.do u learn me .or make any video on this full topic.
If u get a custom fantail cricket bat refurbished do you put on the stickers for a custom fantail bat or do you put on the standard revamp stickers being the proud owner of a custom fantail bat I always wanted to know
What about the cracks we can still see, Initially the binding would have kept it from breaking but after that is removed won't the bat become more vulnerable to breakage
With the glue on the face, is that just plain old super glue? I have a bat with a few cracks on the face i'd like to repair and use to finish off the season.
Hi I live in India and I my bat has a small crack at the edge ...could you pls suggest a good glue which can fix it and I can put a thread on top of it ...I don't know the of the glue which can be applied on cricket bat... I really appreciate your time

I see ur applying wax, what us the reason?
Raghava Raju
The wax is applied to prevent the bats cracking
