I'm 72 and I don't understand this world today. So 5hankful we can pull up and hear some of the best songs that you can feel with and understand the words. Love love this song.

I do sir, I'm 25. It's to love everything you possibly can to fall into a dream to then be betrayed by the most trusted one , to fall down , to make the most mistakes you can , to fail , to then rise back up , and learn that it can happen again and again , but you gotta be wise, you're 72. You're here to watch the wheels go round. We healed , so our God we call is letting us roam in this waiting room , seeing who we see later and won't.

The Saturday Night " Beech-Nut" show ; fall of '58. What a time to be young. I was 12 y/o, & had a hopeless crush on a pretty girl who lived in the next block, & never acknowledged my existence. I was devastated. This song was one i always sang about her in 7th grade. ----" One Summer Night" & ' Little Star" were also out , & they were also, sung by me, to my " hopeless crush" . Her name was Mardean Guffey, in Denver, Colorado. ------------------WolfSky9

I can relate. In 58 , I was 8 years old and had a mega crush on Butch Crawley. He was 12. We played hide and seek. We always hid together cause I was scared of the dark. I knew I was in love. We knew each other through the years until he went to college. I still had hope. His grsndmother told me that they found bone cancer and in less than 3months he was gone forever. I still cry over his loss. He never knew about my crush and never fell in love. He left this world too soon . He's
      Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

I love this video. Like how they move back and force while singing and also love the background vocals.

Others have recorded this song, but The Shields is the best. It has Soul.

I wonder if all those people who scream and cry about The Diamonds recording The Gladiolas, "Little Darlin" " , do the same about The Shields recording The Slades original of, "You Cheated" ? Hopefully, Slades lead singer, Don Burch, profited from all the covers that were made of his song and there were a few made. The Del Vikings did a version, as did, Ronnie Hawkins, 60's girl group, The Shagri-Las also recorded it.

I tried to post this on Facebook. They rejected it because they said it goes against their community standards and policies. How ridiculous can they get?

Johnny Guitar Watson was supposedly in this group, and on the recording of this song according to billboard.
I don't see him here. Whats up with that?

Great song , and yet I don't mean to sound censorious , but I really don't get the relevance of the nautical theme . Otherwise a great recording .
