Turns out I was running cold and pausing too long or not pausing long enough in spots and that is where my biggest issue was. Thanks for the views and the subscribe. New video coming soon!
I have a new welder I'm trying to dial in. It's an inverter "lunch box" style welder that's TOTALLY different than the Miller welder I use at school. Like the real world content. Repair and maintenance welding is where it's at!
No bashing brother. We all try and do better tweaking the machine and our style. I am satisfied only about fifty percent of the time with the looks. But strong is the key. I will say I love a pneumatic air gun as it really makes the weld look better. I peans the hot metal and really looks good. Anyway thanks for the video.
Turn your heat up if your running 3/32 turn it up to 90 or 94 1/8 run 115 to 120 speed through the middle and pause on the sides just keep running beads. Make your next weld look better than your last and do it quicker
@@mcfwelding first off I enjoy your videos. So keep up the good work. You are 100% correct. It is a Ranger 8. I love it. I was just running cold that day and also not allowing enough time on my pauses to fill the undercut when I did turn it up. Got it dialed in now!
I USED LINCOLN ELECTRODES RECENTLY.. THEY WERE TRASH, PISSED ME OFF.. I LITERALLY SWITCHED TO THE CHEAP CHINESE STICKS I HAD, AND THEY WORKED PERFECTLY..
Strength is the key. Keep up the good work.

Practice makes perfect you doing good it won't fall apart
It looks cold beside that you will get it. I always run a few beads before I do something of that caliber.
Don't feel bad bro just practice with it you'll get the hang of it soon

All that matter is that the job gets done , i would have used fluxcord 045 and layed it in hot 🔥
I always find that when im welding thicker material a 5/32 rod burns better. 7018 Excalibur
Keep on at it, here to support my fellow welder with a sub.
By the sounds of it, sounds like you have a machine with an onan engine in it? I could be wrong but sounded like my old ranger 8 i used to have
