😍Dope Plugin!😍 I own Keyscape, Arturia Stage 73, Scarbee and this tops them for me, but is anyone playing this using a Yamaha Montage at all? (I've never experience this with any other plugin whilst using my Yamaha Montage to trigger midi plugins. Can anyone help??
I'm sure Rhodes has done a great job sampling their fine new instrument. But as is the problem with every sampled Rhodes (or piano or Wurli, etc.) library, while careful sampling usually captures the resonance of the harp/soundboard/chassis and mechanical noises (and even minor residual "musical" electronic noise of pickups and preamps), it does so for each individual note, rather than generating resonance based upon polyphonic playing, so the build up of all those things becomes unnaturally loud as you play and sustain more notes. There is none of the phase cancellation or resonance reinforcement that happens when all those frequencies vibrate a piece of wood or metal all at the same time. Yes, there are the simulated resonating harp or open strings/tines samples that help to a degree. But these libraries still lacks some of the inherent musical characteristics of the real thing which achieves a balance of tone through the natural interaction of multiple frequencies. I'm not sure I hear anything in this library that goes beyond the several fine libraries I already have, most of which were far more affordable.
Please download the free trial and let us know what you think once you have spent time using the V8. Our proprietary modelling technology captures all the nuance and mechanical/harmonic interactions you describe on not just a per note basis but globally too. Regards, Rhodes
