Hey everyone! Hope you are all well! This is my first video on the beautiful island of Cebu! 😍 We only had a few days in Cebu City so thought why not get acquainted with the local people and food by checking out the best market we could find! Do you know any hidden gems in Cebu City I can visit next time? Let me know below! Looking forward to reading your wonderful comments as usual! Enjoy the video 😊 Much love 💖💖
Hi Josh ! Im glad to see you visited my hometown Cebu City ! There is a big celebration coming at the city on every 3rd Sunday of January called the Sinulog Festival. It would be fun to see you guys experience it. Theres a lot of street dancing, big Fluvial parades, and body faciial painting. Im sure you and Connor will have fun ! If not maybe next time you come back the Philippines . 😁
Now that You're in Cebu. , say " Daghan Salamat ........means many Thanks........ "Kumusta kamo. Hey josh! The small lime looking citrus fruit is called Calamansi. it's a type of citrus Filipino fruit that you can only find in that side of the world! Also, thanks for loving the Filipino culture and the people, I can't stop watching your vlogs!! I live in London myself and watching all your blogs bring me joy and nostalgia of growing up in Manila!! Keep it up, peace. Ralph
Hi Josh...you are so kind and generous. For sure you will be loved by Filipinos because you blend so well with the locals and don't show being upset and sarcasm (as other vloggers). I'm sure you will get more followers on your channel. Watching from Riyadh, KSA
Josh, start from the history/discovery of cebu. Fort San Pedro, Casa Gorordo, Cebu Heritage, Cebu Cathedral, Basilica del Santo Niño. atleast that will make you a glimpse of history. Then roam around either North of Cebu where white sand beaches are like Bantayan; Then South Cebu where Springs, Waterfalls, Diving, Canyoneering are there.
Mostly we mix together the calamansi soy sauce and chili to make a dipping sauce for any food we eat specialy the fried one, 1st put it in a small plate smash the chili to blend it well

@@TheJourneyofJosh ow..haha..its in cebu city..near fuente osmeña circle,at the back of rajah hotel..its really popular in cebu city so most if not all locals know where it is..they offer a wide variety of cebu's famous fried street foods..when u get there u will see lots of vendors/tables under 1 roof and they will try to convince u to choose their table but no worries, whichever table u choose u will still have the same experience just pick the table that still has more food and less customers(if you're lucky 🙂) coz most of the time there will be lots of people..so yeah,if you are into fried foods then pungko pungko sa fuente is for u..

I am born and raise in cebu province but from time to time spent my weekends and holidays around this area! But it's been 5 yrs now i haven't been here! So it's good to see this in video.. Feels like im walking with you down this memory lane! Thanks for this video!
Hope you get a good lechon, warm and with crispy skin. If you stay in Cebu, try House of Lechon or Ricos Lechon when in the city.. but if you drive down towards Oslob and so on, go to Carcar because they are famous for their lechon style too
When this video dropped early in the morning, I woke up, but I was still groggy, (working night shift), so I told myself I would watch it when I woke up later. hehe. Cebu offers an abundance of activities. Try the skywalk at the Crowne Regency Hotel if you're looking for something really intense to do, similar to the ride you had at the Mall of Asia. Of course, you may swim with whale sharks in Moalboal and Sardine run. You can also go to The Magellan's Cross, which is the main attraction in Cebu. Josh, don't worry, you can communicate in Tagalog wherever in the Philippines because it is our official language. However, I was giggling uncontrollably when you said LAMAY rather than LAMI. In Tagalog, LAMAY means a wake for the dead or night vigil. So be careful when pronouncing the words because you might be saying something different. HAHAHAHA... Kidding aside, Cebuano's are one of the friendliest people in the Philippines, so you're good.

You both need to try Dinuguan that blood stew...its flavory and my favorite. One of Philippines' iconic ethnic food dishes. You can't go to Philippines and not try it. Most people do love it just got to get over the fact that its made with blood.🍻😋✌🏽
@@TheJourneyofJosh You say you have tried blood before but was it Dinuguan? If no one told you it was made with blood I'm almost certain you would have liked it. We sometimes tell children and people its chocolate meat so they will taste it. Haha!😃 Most non Flipinos who feared it ended up loving it more than adobo or lechon🐖. I certainly don't speak for everyone but you not liking it after you tried will not offend anyone for sure. I'm from USA, pls continue your journey in the Philippines and absorb its rich culture. Love your videos👍😀Just be very cautious when people get near you. People may be friendly everywhere and you may feel safe around them. I wish I could do the same. Be safe and enjoy!🍻✌🏽
Dinuguan is to die for.. Those blood dishes uve tasted doesn't taste good that why you already assumed that Dinuguan doesn't taste good TPP.@@TheJourneyofJosh
@@TheJourneyofJosh i understand lots of different foods to explore not just blood haha 😅

Hi Josh ❤
Hi Mary Jean! ❤
Josh, local language there is called bisaya...but they also understand Tagalog...
I know! Another language I need to learn haha
Their mother tongue is Bisaya. They can understand Tagalog and English. Take care and have lots of fun ❤
Eyy first
Eyyy congrats! 😄 Thanks for the support! 😍
Love the videos bro! Keep it coming 😄
Love your videos👍😀Just be very cautious when people get near you. People may be friendly everywhere and you may feel safe around them. Unfortunately there will always be just this someone with bad intentions. That happened to me😢 Didn't even notice the one who stole my wallet. Wear your backpack in front of you instead at the back and don't put your belongings away from you. Whenever i watch foreign vloggers im always worried with the surroundings😅Don't trust too easily. Stay safe and enjoy the Philippines❤😊
Really sorry to hear that happened to you! 😔 Don't worry I may seem new but I have been travelling for years. I only have a backpack to carry water and everything else is hidden away 😜Thanks so much for the support! 💖
@@TheJourneyofJosh Thank's for taking time reading and replying our comments on your videos❤️🤗
you should eat the lechon meat with Cebu's puso (sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves). anyways, hope you had a wonderful X'mas celeb in the Queen City of the South, Cebu

Remember it's more preferable to speak English than Tagalog when you're in Cebu. The locals would prefer that
Josh, u can use tagalog language in every places here in the Ph. weather they speak bisaya or other language, they can understand tagalog. Just explore Ph u can see and hear different kind of languages 😀 at least u can speak konti lang tagalog 😂
Yes at least I can speak a little! 😂 languages can get confusing sometimes
Another great vlog, Josh & Connor! People seem to gravitate towards you because they sense your friendliness and openness.
Props too for eating that spicy chili ( sili labuyo) on its own 🥵 😅
