    Carter ain't arrogant, he's just good at his craft. I know him personally and he's the most humble person, father, husband and friend.

    I think people are just jealous - I saw him today at the Newport Jazz Festival and other musicians hung around just to watch him. He was breathtaking....he's got swagger and the less talented are just full of envy....

    James is aware of his comparative superiority on woodwind. There are others who are as great too - unsung unfortunately! Eric Dolphy is perhaps smiling beautifully at James' flute works which reminisce Eric's own flute style. Nigha can play!
