How long does the spring walleye run last??
I can probably only fish beginning of May. I’m coming from GTA which will be over 3 hour drive.

We normally get them jigging into early June. They get smaller and you get more variety, but the action is great. Smallies, sheep, white bass and walleye the later it gets. When the weeds grow in LSC, the water in the river gets much cleaner, so you need to go really early or late in the day. Both lakes (LSC and Erie) are awesome well into July. Cheers!

I went out for the first time yesterday on the US side fishing from shore north of Fighting Island. I got snagged so many times I ended up calling it quits. Hoping to get back out there again, gonna stop and buy some new walleye gear. Any tips on how to fish the current, this is all pretty new to me? Awesome videos man 💪🏼🎣
I have a video on how to jig but also ask the locals I find the person doing best and ask how do they do it
There are certain areas that are super snaggy and there are areas that are not so snaggy. Also, the US side is much harder to catch fish from shore because we rarely have any stained water. The best times will be after a heavy rain and then fish below the Rouge river, as it dumps in some stained water. You can catch them in the clear water during low-light conditions. Super early or late.
@BuckFishes yeah my second time out I met a guy and he was very helpful. I got one on my second trip out and two on my third trip out. 4th try I didn't get any bites. I did come across your how to jig video and it was helpful, I am going to watch it again to try and soak up some more knowledge. I appreciate you brother ✌🏼

@@rumcoke9123 The system is so loaded with fish right now that the DNR/MNR is actually more concerned about them eating themselves out of a forage base, than they are of too many being caught. So, it is a good thing to take some out to eat, as long as you are within the rules, go for it!
