Billy is a Scottish national treasures. No one makes me laugh harder or longer. Genius
When I watched dwarf on a bus. This one popped straight into my head. This is definitely the best one ever. They way he describes it. U actually visualise the whole thing happening. Brilliant
So true. He is a genius
I saw him live many moons ago in Blackpool and my face was aching from laughing. We hung around at the stage door afterwards and he came out to say hello and told a few more stories, it was brilliant.
I would love to see him perform again but he retired from stand up since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s. There’s a series on Sky Gold called ‘Billy Connolly Does’ that’s worth a watch, gives you a great insight into the life he’s lived! ❤
Oh wow, thank you 👍🏾
You should listen to a song Billy sang called D.I.V.O.R.S.E. it is so funny. My parents used to listen to Billy's songs when I was a child
Gotta love the old "platform" bus's bounce from one to another at the traffic lights
You looked confused about the bus, 😁. He was describing an old style bus, from way back when buses had conductors who came round with a ticket machine, so you just got on, sat down and waited for the conductor to collect your fair. there was also door in the centre of the bus as well as the open platform at the back. The old buses were great.
Oh wow. So much have changed 🤯
I saw this years ago and still find it hilarious. It caught me off guard when I first saw it. I thouht I'd need medical attention and couldn't stop laughing for an hour or so after 😂
I miss the open backed double deckers, nothing beat hopping on and off the bus. Another tradition lost to Health & Safety. 😂
Love Billy, the other 2 that are hilarious are 'Shouting at Wildebeest' and 'Potatoes of the Night'
His last gig was in 2017. I was lucky enough to go. He is the best ever.
🤩🤩
I think I have or on DVD somewhere.
Hi, speaking as an older lady who rode those buses a lot in her misbegotten youth, I am rather surprised that I made it to older age at all! Lol. I’ve lived in Australia for many years now, but, I still get folk asking me am I not worried about Australia’s dangerous wildlife. I laugh and reply, I grew up in Glasgow in the late fifties, do you think a few wee beasties could bother me ? . Love your channel and watching along with you. You bring a smile to this old lady’s lips and a lift to my heart ❤️
best one is his funny walks routine
Lol im from Birmingham 😂 Billy is awesome I love this one ❤
Up the Brummies 🥳🤣
Clydebank is an area to the north west of Glasgow. Clydesdale Bank were the sponsors of the SPL for many years.
👍🏾👍🏾🥳
Watched him at The Point (3 arena/O2) around 2002 or something like that. Definitely my first hero growing up. I got into him listening to his vinyl 'Raw meat for the balcony' from the 70's. I used to bring it to my mates house and we would have to listen quietly as his mum didn't approve!! Amazing human being
Nice one wee man, Billy is a legend! YAAAAAAASSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
🤩🤩
I love this one! 😂
Same looool
Clydebank is where Glasgow shipyards where
The football sponsors was The Clydesdale Bank! 😂
Clydebank is a town near Glasgow! Easy mistake! 😂
Billys the master at starting a joke, going off on many many tangents then ties it all back together brilliantly. The mans a master at his craft. A truly hilarious man and one id love to just have a beer and a chat with. Love you Billy ❤❤❤
My dad loved billy Connolly I love him myself and Lee Evans ❤
This is one of my favourite jokes ever from the master of comedy.
Love Billy Connolly!!
1st time i saw this, i couldn't breath for laughing. I have never laughed like it. I was actually panicking because i couldn't breath but i couldn't stop laughing 😂😂😂
He is hilarious 🤣
This is hysterically funny as I know the area of Clydebank and know the steep hills there are near the bus terminal. I live 10 minutes away and work in Dalmuir a sub-district of Clydebank. Billy is the best. Come on The Big Yin.
I highly recommend his "Worst pain known to man". It had me crying with laughter the first few times I saw it...
I’ll check it out. Thanks
It was clydesdale bank i think.I'm actually from clydebank, funnily enough kevin Bridges is from here.
Awesome as always Eddy. Top skills :)
Thank you! Cheers 🤩
These were the days when the back of the bus was an open platform and a time when only the bus conductor was allowed to press the bell, so if you were on the top deck and the conductor wasn’t, you had to get downstairs to the platform so that he knew you were getting off. If you got there too late you could miss your stop and have to walk back, so you tended to get there early and ride on the platform, holding the bars as described by Billy. Obviously in the days when Health and Safety wasn’t such a concern. Those were the days.😂
Didn’t know that existed 😱
Yes as a kid I'd jump on and off when it was moving,no health and safety in those days!😅😅😅
And the really old ones had doors in the centre and front of the bus, too!
Clydesdale bank used to sponsor the SPL , that’s a bank
Clydebank is a place 🤙
Thanks mate 🎉
Nah it was the Clydesdale Bank that sponsored things. Clydebank is a town along the Clyde next to Glasgow.
Ohhhhh, thank you 👍🏾
I recently (say within the last six months) see a interview of Billy, he has been retired for a little while now (don't know exactly but I think it is around a year or two), I am also not sure but I think he has Parkinson's disease, hence why he retired, I think he still lives in Los Angeles.
Billy Connolly is a unique comedian in that he doesn't tell jokes or one-liners. He's a storyteller and a brilliant one at that. Someone else could tell the same story and it wouldn't be nearly as funny.
Clydebank...is an Area In Glasgow....Also a Footie Team from There by the Same Name....
If you're up for doing a longer reaction (approx. 50 mins) you should react to 'An Audience with Billy Connolly'. Hilarious!
Coming soon 🥳
Why do all Glasgow stories start on the old 40 🤣🤣🤣
0:52 clydesdale bank sponsored the spfl and clydebank is a town outside of Glasgow 😂
Thank you
The clydesdale bank was the sponsor of the Premier league. , not to be confused with the town of clydebank...where Kevin bridges was brought up
clydesdale bank sponsored the league years ago . lol
I knew "Connolly" BEFORE he was on Parkie. He was moving over from Folk music to Comedy, trying out all those first generation jokes on us. He tweaked them constantly until we couldn't draw breath for laughing. Hubby almost stopped Billy's fledgling comedy career before it took off. Standing in a Beer Tent, after a Tourist Board event, Billy says to hubby, "X, those effing Americans don't get me".. Instead of support, hubby said.. "No Billy, they effing hated you". 🙄🤔 Fortunately Billy ignored him.
loyds bank maybe, clybebank is a town or football team, hahahah.
He’s a legend , can you take off the top copyright name of the video please x
Listen to his crusafixn joke
No, unfortunately, he doesn't do any more stand up comedy. I think mainly because of the Parkinson disease.
Is this the comic that supports rangers then gets famous and then supports septic 😅
Just curious as to why you always feel the need to put an excerpt spoiler at the beginning. Me? I’ve seen them all before, but for viewers who’ve never previously seen your ‘reactions’ surely you’re spoiling what’s coming as you’re pretty much - in some cases - giving them the punch-line in advance 🤷🏻♂
