Venezia in un Minuto S05E06 - DISCOVERING AN EXPLORER

The great explorer born in Rovigo but raised in Venice, Giovanni Miani, died 150 years ago, in Africa, in the venturesome attempt to discover the sources of the Nile.
Miani gifted Venice with hundreds of artifacts and findings from his scientific expeditions, that are today warded at the Natural History Museum in Venice.
Wanting to celebrate this anniversary, the Natural History Museum devoted 2022 as the year of the "White Lion" Miani, nickname he received from the indigenous people he met in Africa.
