May all these actors Rest In Peace.
Robert Walker jr AKA Charlie X, was also in a non cannon star trek film "Of Gods And Men" starring several TOS actors. Its a kind of fan film but starring the star trek actors. Weird huh?
Dude, you speak about people that most of them died over the age 74....
“The list of deaths… gets longer”
Well, it’s never gonna get shorter
Yeah, like, duh, it's time ain't it.
I love a good smartass. 🤣🤣🤣
LOOL
Yeh not to like....be a downer but....what are they supposed to do, NOT DIE?! Kind of impossible.
Where's an unstable Genesis planet when you need one? Bless them all
Actors may die but Star Trek is forever.
I mean not really. Christ is forever. TV shows fade into obscurity but it was fun.
@@EQOAnostalgiaFor you and others who can’t see beyond the now. But not the rest of mankind, for the rest of human kind Star Trek will continue to have a lasting impact on the imagination space exploration as we venture into the stars.
@@witnesstochange1801 Jesus Christ is beyond the now...
A great philosopher and teacher, but not divine. @@emillyyelen5169
Kirstie Alley was the most beautiful Vulcan I've ever seen until Enterprise came out and Jolene Blalock stole my heart❤.
She was my childhood crush
Jolene is okay, but a bit odd looking (IMO). Young Kirstie was drop dead beautiful.
Don't forget the original T'Pring on ST:TOS... Arlene Martel...
@@bigd7696 Absolutely, Kirsty was gorgeous even when she gained weight. Jolene was just kinda odd looking as a Vulcan but she is absolutely beautiful out of costume. She was beautiful on Stargate SG1 as the Jaffa leader.
@@igorschmidlapp6987 I couldn't remember her so I looked her up and thank you for bringing her to attention. She is a beauty and may she rest in peace.
No mention of Leonard Nimoy, Deforest Kelley, James Doohan, or Anton Yelchin's deaths....surely those are noteworthy too, along with creator, Gene Roddenberry
i think they were going for this years deaths
@@privateer9181 but Nichelle didn't die this year nor Kirstie Alley
They didn't mention odo or nog from ds9 or admiral Paris from voyager either, this video would be over an hour long if they talked about everyone.
I was thinking the same thing about the lack of mentioning.
Or Majel Barrett Roddenberry...
"Try to break free of the patriarchal norms...?" Tell me you didn't watch the show without telling me you didn't watch the show. RIP to all these greats and all you left out (Anton Yelchin).
And Mark Lenard! He showed him while talking about the other Sarek, but made no mention of his death!
Leonard Nimoy, James Doohan, Majel Barrett, Deforest Kelly, Grace Lee Whitney, Mark Lenard, Jane Wyatt, and Anton Yelchin are all missing, which leads me to believe this isn't the first of these videos.
They essentially ran their own Great House…in defiance of the Klingon High Council.
@@gawainethefirst well if you define “great” as in selling out your entire species to the Romulans as their puppets, then yea.
Patriarchal Norms, are actually a good thing. Oppression, is not good. Just because in some instances, the two come together, doesn't mean Patriarchal Norms are bad. It's literally no different than any other instance where two things are tied together when it's going wrong. Are cars a bad thing? No? Well, when combined with a drunk, it often ends in the death of innocent people. But we don't turn around and blame cars. When people do that, they have an agenda. You should always be suspicious of those people, and at least investigate their agenda.
Like it or not, men evolved for combat, and hunting. Women evolved to care for children. Men and women are NOT the same. And like it or not, men evolved to lead, but leading does not mean doing it alone. A smart men takes counsel from smart women, before making decisions. Take counsel, not marching orders, just to be clear.
Shatner is like 90. By that time you've outlived most of your coworkers from 50 years ago.
May they rest in peace.
He'll be 93 on March 22, God willin' and the creek don't rise. If we learned anything from Betty White, it's don't celebrate your birthday until it gets here. ;-)
There’s no other Sci Fi series that even comes close to losing as many of its main cast members from deaths so rapidly and young as Babylon 5! Example, The original Star Trek aired in the 60s and it still has 3 surviving main cast members, And Babylon 5 debuted in the 90s, and it only has 3 surviving main cast members left!
It's not a contest. Relax.
Considering both the quality of Babylon 5, and its fans; are you sure they havent't faked mutiple deaths?
"The List Of Star Trek Deaths Keeps Getting Tragically Longer". That's what happens before you invent immortality - every, single time.
David Warner was also well known for his role as the Devil in "Time Bandits", but I remember all of his Trek roles.
And Sark/Dillinger in Tron.
Jack the ripper in "Time After Time".
,And Aldous Gajic in Babylon 5.
Well, it just got a bit longer. Just read that Gary Graham of Star Trek: Enterprise passed away a the 22nd.
That's sad, he can't have been that old. Turns out he was 73, that surprised me. Cardiac arrest apparently. RIP.
He played Soval again in the Axanar production before he died, so we will get to see him again.
His guest role in an episode of Renegade just aired last night.
Didn't you just watch the video?
His passing was the last portion of this. Did you watch it till the end?
RIP Gary Graham
Informative and a bit depressing, I didn't even know that some of these actors had died. Some of them I hadn't even realized were ever part of the franchise
Wow, I didn't know so many had died. My favorite series. They have truly gone to "the final frontier"
Imagine playing a small part in a Star Trek production you live on in infinity…
If the death list gets shorter be sure to let us know.
Grew up literally on Star Trek!🙏✌️❤️👌RIP😎😇💕🫶🥲
How can you not look at your smart phone and not think of Star Trek…?
You mentioned Gary Graham's other sci fi work, but not David Warner's?
Voiced Batman villain, Ras al Ghul, in multiple cartoons and video games over the years.
"Tron" (1982): Portrayed Ed Dillinger/Master Control Program.
"My Best Friend Is A Vampire" (1987): Played Professor Leopold McCarthy, the vampire hunter. Also appearing in this cult-movie classic was Rene Auberjonois of "Star Trek DS9" (Constable Odo) and "Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country" (Colonel West).
He also played Jack the Ripper in the terrific movie "Time After Time." In that movie, H. G. Wells was played by Malcolm McDowell, who later played Soran in the movie "Star Trek Generations."
When the somewhat younger actors are taken from us its heart ripping because they literally had decades more to go , , ,but some of the older ones passing kind of shocked me ,Yavone Craig and the Costar from Alien-Nation ,i remember a lot of their appearances and the hurt of it even surprised me , ,🙏😔
David Warner also had another memorable role in a movie: He was the villain, Dillinger, in Tron.
He had a whole list of memorable roles. Jack the ripper in " Time After Time" for one.
David Warner was also Dillinger from the Original Tron just a great actor how you did not include that is a bit strange. :)
I litterally just flipped channels and saw Yvonne craig as Marta - IMHO she has some of the fabulous legs in the history of film.
A really good video.
It disturbs me at the high percentage of these actors died of some form of Cancer & I am seeing cancer victims everywhere now.
Yes, it's crazy to think that the more actors get old, the more of them die! So tragic.
Deforest Kelley, James Doohan? :'(
09:30 - "You remember Alberto? He's an expert in the disposal business!!"😸
Margolas's portrayal of Salamonca was Masterful!
Mark Lenard?? Anton Yelchin??
David Warner. "Time Bandits".
@Kevin_Kennelly, Also, pretty memorably, Time After Time.
What about Dean Stockwell? He definitely should have gotten mentioned since he appeared in an episode of Enterprise (starring Scott Bakula). DS and SB are both very well known for the original Quantum Leap series, and a lack of a mention of him (when Enterprise is referenced and SB is even named) feels like a snub.
The Sci-fi world owes much to these actors and to the Star Trek brand. What would sci-fi have been without Star Trek?
David Warner has one of the best lines in cinema history as the 'Evil Genius' in "Time Bandits". -STAND BY FOR MIND CONTROL!
Strange hodgepodge list of who died. So many more have died. RIP to them all. Really enjoyed many of them. Some I dont recall but others are a bigger part of Trek.
THIS was the list of those who have died MOST RECENTLY.
David Warner also played "Jack the Ripper", stealing H.G. Wells' time machine in "Time After Time"...
Robert Walker also played the title character in "Ensign Pulver", a sequel to "Mister Roberts"...
Pretty crappy research...
Bruce Hyde is the loss that doesn't get enough mention. Lt. Kevin Riley was an excellent character and should have been used a lot more in the original series. He died in 2015.
I sat right next to Kirstie Alley in my makeup chair when she was getting her Vulcan ears glued on. She had no idea that her life was about to change forever. I also just got my colon checked this year after realizing that's how she died. When you get older folks, get a colonoscopy every five years, please.
09:00 - "You remember Alberto!!? He's an expert in the Disposal Business!!"
The klingon sisters, I remember from a young boy watching the shows/movie,"IT WAS THE BREASTS " 😂😂😊😊😊
"There's people dying now who've never died before!" Irish saying.
There are actually quite a few survivors from a show as old as this one. There's only one cast member left from the Beverley Hillbillies and one from Gilligan's Island. There's no one left from Green Acres or Bonanza.
It's a shame they didn't have Annie Wersching reprise her role on The Last of Us.
did not realise Kirstie Alley had died, how sad, didn't realise she was that old
David Warner is also responsible for creating Tokka and Rahzar in TMNT: Secret of the Ooze.😆
Yes indeed. Growing old really, really sucks. But leaving with a name known by so many unrelated people. A name or a legacy that will endure is such a rarity.
With so many people on our little ball floating around the galaxy. Those who are remembered were truly blessed. RIP
Us B5 fans understand the concept of tragic deaths of the main cast. Sympathies.
I thought the reason about Kirstie Alley not returning for the role of Savak was not about money but about her wanting to make the role sexy. Shatner didn't like that idea as it took away from his character on screen by being upstaged by a sexy Vulcan. But she's dead now and we'll never know the truth.
Nichelle Nichols had a brother who was part of the infamous Heaven's Gate cult that committed mass suicide in March 1997. A lot of Heaven's Gate beliefs were influenced by Star Trek.
Oh that's just weird and disturbing! Imma have to look into that!
STAR TREK its constant inspiration for modernise human tehnology ... constructor MileR 001 ...
Sadly Kenneth Mitchell passed just 2 days ago
Did you know that you can make up a list of people that are part of any defined group you can imagine and the list of their deaths will "keep getting tragically longer"? Is that crazy or what?
David Warner was Also Sark on the Movie "Tron"
Robert Walker jr AKA Charlie X, was also in a non cannon star trek film "Of Gods And Men" starring several TOS actors. Its a kind of fan film but starring the star trek actors. Weird huh?
Itzin was one of my favorites. Logan was E V I L!
They are the lucky ones: immortalized in Trek.
Kirstie Alley didn't turn down the role because of not enough pay. It was her agent that did that, without consulting her on the matter.
She was quite vocal about it in interviews. "They made me an offer that I could refuse"
No big
you also forgotten that the woman who played BATGIRL she was also in EMERGENCY
No James Dohan? No Rene Auborjoinus? You got guy with one guest spot but not main cast members playing Scotty or ODO. Kind of a couple a large misses there.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of actor deaths. And there are behind the scenes deaths which really hit home, like April Nocifora and Manny Cotto, which barely scratch the surface. Rest easy.
When I saw Yvonne Craig as the green Orion girl, all I could think of was that is a lot of green skin I'm seeing. Wow!
Obviously no one lives for ever and considering the age of Star Trek it’s indisputable that a number of them will have passed away by now…
They forgot Anton!!!
Just a suggestion for future videos: please do not use any music while you are talking. It is distracting. Thanks.
Interesting you left out a few from the original series
No upvote for you, for not mentioning that David Warner was the voice of the Master Control Program from TRON. What's wrong with your writers?? END OF LINE.
So much talent will be sorely missed in the future of Entertaiment. That issue us even worst for older series like Babylon 5 , Battle Star Galactica, and Star Wars.
Well, at least they were captured on film, so their memories will live long.
It's because of how long since the Original Series debuted: (1966, 57½ years ago), age alone, never mind illness that can claim someone before their time, has claimed so many. RIP, all.
Leonard Nimoy, Mr. Spock was missing 😞
star trek died back in 2005 with the cancelation of Enterprise
Agreed.
"Unhoused People", really...
Down-vote for compiling a list of old people that died of old age...(cancer / heart attack / illness, etc...)
Did ya think these actors were immortal? People age, people die. Even actors. Surprise, surprise!!
The next realm? It's Stovokor!
I had a solid parasocial relationship with Annie Wersching and her death hit me very hard. She (in her first prime time recurring gig) saved 24 with her great protrayal of Renee Walker.
Keep in mind, the death of Gene Rodenberry in 1991.
gary graham also starred in a movie called robot jox
Not many left of the original crew. 😔
Well...If you start with a idea & TV show that began in the 1960's...the list will be pretty long one...tragic death or not...
They should stop wearing red shirts.
Someone had to say it!
Shit! Achiles died a few days ago.
Don't worry. Heel be okay.
Shocker!
People die.
If you don' t count the actors currently alive, EVERY actor is dead. It's a really long list.
Yeah. Time has a way of doing that.
That's a lot of Cancer deaths. Damn.
Man I would make savoks green slanty pon far you know what call my name from across the galaxy
Would you rather they lived forever, growing weaker, less mentally able, thinner, and ever more confused unto death? That would be more tragic.
You lost me at “patriarchy norm!”
Well, trek is pretty woke, well, except females couldn't be captains in the original series. That part was based. 😁
@@l337pwnage True, but until
“disco trek,” they weren’t typically as in your face as it is today…
@@rodrickadamginsburg8960 Also true. They also had to pander to the religious people on the original series. I bet that chapped a few actor's behinds. They actually were happy they could get away with having Uhura on the show, tho. That was pretty controversial then.
Also reminds me of the TNG gender episode where Jonathan Frakes wanted to kiss a dude on camera and the producers were like, "eh, not this time, maybe later." Apparently he was upset about that, lol.
Cancer blows.
what did you expect? the show started 60 years ago... you are bound to have many of them die...
What about Anton Yelchin?
I haven’t heard of half of these people
It's the ghost of roddenberry. He isn't happy with what it has become.
Well, please let me know if the list gets SHORTER, ok?
This is nothing compared to the curse of Dad’s Army, sadly most of the cast were dead within a decade of the show ending.
You mean......people die?
Left out she was also part of the First interracial kiss on American TV via Star Trek.
God damn! cancer be getting everybody.
I hate to say it, but most of these deaths aren't tragic. You're talking about people in their 60s - 80s. They led full lives.
It does not say tragic deaths but that the number of deaths is getting tragically longer…
STD is not STAR TREK, it is disgusting to include that into the realm.
I just skipped the Discovery parts. It's such an insult to Trek.
Time is a be-atch.
So... working on Star Trek will most likely give you cancer? 😢
