He sings it so well that noone notices his lyrical mistake 'those little town shoes are melting away', its 'those vagabond shoes are longing to stray'. So well sung and acted. Love it!
I'm so relieved people are still savouring the Meadster on here i only have one mate who will discuss his finer points even my children have long since forbidden the merest mention of Mr Lee Mead!!
'those little town shoes' instead of blues i never wouldve noticed but we had the kareoke lyrics up on the tv when the final was on! who cares he sung it so well, shoesll do..
ok, i was the one that started this whole conflict about the performane/lee being 'rubbish' and i just wanted to end it all now. i wrote that comment about him being rubbish a year ago and i just wanna say im sorry and i change my mind. I am a HUGE sinatra fan and was also a fan of kieth, however i do feel that lee fits the role of joseph better and he did an amazing performance so im sorry
Depends which version, there is only one i can listen to that doesn't show the voice was going when he recorded it.I had the misfortune years ago to spend a lot of money to see ol' blue eyes live and then he MIMED!!!So no thanks i'll listen to Lee if you don't mind.Wasn't Sinatra dead before you even were born?
wth? ure boy! Do u no him or something? i didn't say he was rubbish i just said i thought frank was better. besides, keith should of won, i voted 4 him.

I did notice it but that's because I was so impressed by how skilfully he covered his mistake.

He sung this so amazingly!!!!!! Especially the last notes OMG - he is GORGEOUS
I love this perfromance sososo much. He was miles ahead of the others talent-wise.
I remember watching this and being left stunned. Apart from when he fluffed his words at the start, it was epic!
this is my fave performance of lee!
This is such a good performance! He is so hot! He acts the song so well and commands the stage! Love it!
love him. Hope he comes to NY!
Awesome job!
How anyone can describe this performance as being 'rubbish' is beyond me! Lee did an amazing job - Sinatra would have been proud!

You actually said 'that was rubbish' it's in b&w for all to see in the comments below...

i was 3 wen he died. Besides, even if he was deed before i was born it doesn't meen i cant like him!!
Both Lee and Keith are amazing performers. I think Keith might have better vocals but Lee has the right look for Joseph.
yeh i always thought summin was wrong at that bit shows how gd he is thought eh?
wth? ure boy! Do u no him or something? i didn't say he was rubbish i just said i thought frank was better. besides, keith should of won, i voted 4 him.
Yes but by the same token you cannot come on here and rubbish our boy like this you know and expect to get away with it!?
I meant that particular performance was rubbish, not that he was rubbish.
that was rubbish!!!! If u listen to frank sinartra then u will think so 2!!!
