This was and still is my first meter in the HVAC trade. Excellent tool and by far the best customer service from Field Piece, the rotator knob broke off after some rough abuse, called up FP and was on the phone for 2 minutes total, had a tracking number 5 min later in my email. They don’t nickel and dime when your outside of warranty (within reason obviously). This meter will be 10 years old for me soon. Loyal customer for life.
avid.. I wanted you to know this video is what sold me on the Fieldpiece HS36!!!! I love mine and wouldn't have any other! I figured out a trick to a free wet bulb probe for it.. If you take a piece of shoe string and wet it then stick it on the end of the thermocouple, BAM! Wet bulb measurement! The wet bulb thermocouple they sell for 20 is the exact same as their regular thermocouple minus a sock and alligator clip! Thanks again Dave! Adam
I work for Kentucky State Parks and I am new to HVAC and I have been looking for a good meter. Your video was very helpfull. So it is safe to say Fieldpiece HS36 is the way to go. Thanks so much for the time to make this video looking forward to many more great videos.
Nice Meter, I down loaded the manual and found it reads a very high resistance @ 40M. That's great for checking compressor windings and shorted windings. I've always used Fluke but this meter is gaining my respect with all the features it has.
I bought one, back in 1998,and last me till 2015. It was a HS26. So I went and got me the same model for $80 online I remember using amprobe back in the 90s,until I found Fieldpiece. They are awesome! Especially when testing a bad capacitor that is under value.

What does the “m” mean when you test the current with clamp jaws?
It automatically calibrates itself. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, for watching.
How often do you calibrate your multimeter
Hi everyone. I'm a HVAC student. Could you give me your opinion between sc660 vs HS36? which do you recommend me?
Why is there a m on meter when your check amps?
Outstanding Job!!!!!
how to put your meter on ranging on vac I didn't hear you clearly when you were talk about MAX /MIN
I agree
Fieldpiece are the best tools and best warranty
Can u diode check with it
It will do most every thing you need..
Fieldpiece are the best .
what's the difference between this one and the HS35?? looks pretty much the same to me.
fudogchomp the backlight I think
That meter seems broke. It’s reading .02 when it should read 0. That would bother me.
