Yes, 'gold' always just turns into 'shades of orange' on my skin too! I always need a very COLD gold (which sounds oxymoronic but it's not), for it to read as gold on my skin.

Totally agree. I’ve tried to copy makeup looks from individuals with a deeper skin tone than me in the past. I’m fair and always felt like I looked like a clown. Now I’ve been focusing on not but overly pigmented colors and stick to the lighter end of the options. So a video would be awesome!

OK unrelated but I wanted to confirm something you posited in a prev video re: peachy pink blush on olive skin. You were correct. Peach/orange blush looks AHRANGE on us (equivalent of PANK on you). Not like "oh my blush is orange" more like "oh my FACE is orange". So for a peach blush, we go peachy-pink.

I don't go to the main YT page, I go directly to my YT page ( I made it back in 2007 when you needed a photo or video sharing site to post pics/videos to your blog shout out HTML coding ) Anyway, I found your channel because I watched Hannah's videos & YT recommended yours. So yes, YT does recommend beauty content creators but somewhat indirectly I guess. If you are watching a certain kind of content, they will recommend similar 😮 I never watched any of THE BIG beauty channels involved in Dramageddon except for Tati 😊 I literally only knew about them from all the coverage of the fall out.

By offering the burning lip gloss from hell and offering a cheek highlighting palette in three metallic colors. I means who needs so much metallic highlighters? I think she missed an opportunity to offer us a complete collection. She could have offered us a universal gold cheek palette including a blush, bronzer and highlighter. I think that would have been great for the summer days or a way for us to elevate the palette for the evening. So basically, I just have a neutral gold eyeshadow palette. I love ND matte formulas. And I’m excited for a non orange warm palette. However, all of her glittery shades pull silver/white sheen on me. Im a medium tan/neutral/low contrast, so I was hoping for some darker foils/metallics with subtle shimmer and gold/bronze sheens. There is that one darker bronze metallic… but I’m still playing around with it.
I have come to realize that I have decluttered every ND palette I've ever bought by now, I thought we were on the same page about the formula XD now you are inching to the other side Kackie! hahaha. I really like things to be less opaque and I think her mattes are FAMOUS for looking super different on the skin than in the pan -.- not easy enough! but I am always open to having my mind changed. Maybe someday.

Inflammation is why I avoid those vivid pink blushes. I have rosacea & struggle with redness especially on the cheeks & do not like blush shades that replicate rosacea inflammation.

Yeah I didn't change my color tone at all and I use very neutral lighting, all artificial. I was surprised at how orange it is too.
