More Than This for me as well, though with the caveat that it's one of them familiar radio songs from long ago, while Take a Chance With Me was a first-time listen!
The "Avalon" album got Roxy back in the spotlight for a while - at least a couple of songs got play on the radio and on the MTV Music channel. "Avalon" was controversial with the old Roxy fans though - not everyone was crazy about this atmospheric and minimalist Soul sound. The production style was definitely influential (not that Roxy Music hadn't already dabbled in this approach with the preceding album "Flesh and Blood"). That was the era when Adult Contemporary stations were popular on radio, and this was the type of music being played on those stations. Bryan Ferry later released a solo album titled "Boys and Girls" which was very much in the same vein as "Avalon". I recommend that one to people who want more of the "Avalon" sound.
I am more familiar with some of Bryan Ferry's solo work then I am with Roxy Music. I have to confess that I never knew the song More Than This was a Roxy Music song. I know it well from 10000 maniacs. Now I actually prefer the Roxy Music version. Thanks for giving me that knowledge. Great seeing you two guys on stage together again too LOL. As usual another great review!
Kia Ora hello Shawn and Tray how are you guys?. I saw Roxy music a few years ago and Brain didn't seem interested in being there maybe getting to old or just over it but after almost a lifetime of waiting to see Roxy music i was disappointed more than a little bit
another great reaction guys, could you please react to renee geyer love don't live here anymore with kev garant on guitar.mp4, the best australian soul voice ever, who sadly passed away in january

I have read several places that Brian was always a bit "challenging" haha
@@ReactionsToTheClassics he does seem a bit moody
I must say these songs are a little too slick for my taste. I prefer early Roxy Music.
Thanks for Watching!
