For every one's information.....In the very first book written on the biography of Rasool Allah saww by Ibn Ishaq(85H-150H), the DATE OF BIRTH OF RASOOL ALLAH SAWW IS 12TH RABI UL AWAL, the DAY is MONDAY, the YEAR is the YEAR OF ELEPHANT(570AD).....Hence 12th is date, monday is day, Rabi ul awal is month, 570AD is year

Imam Al-Hafiz Al-Suyuti in his famous book "Al-Hawii Lil-Fatawii" allocated a special chapter on that topic and named it "The Excellence of Objective in Celebrating the Mawlid" where he said: The question under consideration is what the verdict of the Shari'ah on celebrating the Holy Birthday of the Noble Prophet (Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him) during the month of Rabbi-ul-Awwal. From the point of view of Shari'ah is this a praiseworthy action or a blameworthy one? And do those who arrange such celebration Receive blessings or not? He said:
"The reply to this question is that in my view the Milad Shareef (Celebration of the Birthday of the Noble Prophet Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him) is in fact such an occasion of happiness on which people assemble and recite the Holy Qu'ran to the extent that is easy. Then they relate the prophecies concerning the appearance of the Noble Prophet (Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him) that have been transmitted in Ahadith and Author, and the miraculous events and signs that took place on his birth. Then food is set before them and according to their desire they partake thereof to satisfaction. This festival of celebrating the birthday of the Noble Prophet (Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him) is a Bid'ah Hasanah (good Innovation) and those arranging it will get blessing, since in such a celebration is found the expression of joy and happiness at the greatness and eminence of the Noble Prophet (Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him) and his birth".
If there is only one hadith then it would require the book. Otherwise one or 10 books have no value.

One shouldn't just discourage ppl before looking at all aspects and Hadith! Prophet did mention that he loves to fast on Monday and thursday as it is stated. It was narrated that 'Aa'ishah said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was keen to fast on Mondays and Thursdays." (al-Nasaa'i, 2320; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami' al-Sagheer, 4827). And the caller just believe the person like that's last word. Do your own research. May Allah guide u
You know that, one time I dont remember the exact year, some Maulvi hazrat in Pakistan they cut birthday cake of 50 Kg on the day of Eid miladun Nabi.What do you say about that.
If the hadith Maulana is referring to is dhaeef, then should the muhadditheen remove it from sahih muslim???

if v hav decided to celebrate milad of mohd s a w, thanwhy leave Haz essa, Haz musa, haz Ibrahim. after them there were r 1 lakh 24 thousand nabi out them 313 were rasool. so why not to celebrate Eid milad, this why v can celebrate Eid milad daily so no need to pray, fast, no need fr haj, or working, children's don't hav to go to school. becoz every hr some body is born n somebody dies?.

Meaning of an authentic hadith, whenever you see conflicts among people(scholars and authorities) about Islam, come back to ALLAH and HIS prophet muhammad peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him to get right path.

The hadith of Sahih Muslim(2606) is not authentic. According to Imam Bukhari: Abdullah bin temporal Temple did not hear the hadith from Abu Qatada Ansari.
وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ غَيْلاَنَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ الزِّمَّانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، رضى الله عنه أَنَّرَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سُئِلَ عَنْ صَوْمِ الاِثْنَيْنِ فَقَالَ " فِيهِ وُلِدْتُ وَفِيهِ أُنْزِلَ عَلَىَّ " .

Piyare bhai, Sahabah R.A hum se zyada muhabbat karte the Nabi Akram S.A.W se. Agar sab se bari Eid thi to sab se pehle Sahabah, ijtemai tor per manate. Hadith mein humen bus 2 Eid manane ka hi hukam milta hai. Sahabah nein sari zindgi Nabi S.A.W ki milaad ko ijtemai tor per nahin manaya jesa k aaj manaya ja raha hai.
Agar aap manana chahte ho to akele manao, roza rakho, durood o salaam bejho milaad k din. Lekin isse ijtemai tor per manana deen k ander biddat hai. Hadith hai k har biddat gumrahi hai, aur har gumrahi aag mein hai.
Please firqe ko follow na karo aur Quran o Sunnat ko follow karo, kyon k Quran o Sunnat ko mazbooti se thamne ka hukam Nabi S.A.W nein khud diya hai.
