all goalie's i know from my club say and think that blockslidings are easy, but i have so much trouble w it, i just can't understand it, the feeling is unnatural of some sort for me, and i just can't get it under control and i think its so hard and my gk trainers have explained it and showed it so many times to me but i still can't figure it out. Until once i tried it again and i kind of did it i think but when my arm came down on the ground i heard smt crack, and i bruised my shoulder w it and now im scared to train it again...

Mijn handen zijn niet enorm groot, en zo glijdt mijn handschoen niet van mijn hand. Ook met een beetje zweet heb je hier minder last van

Do you teach the one knee block outdoors as well? I've been using it outdoors for a few years as I'm finding the wide block slide that you show to be too difficult at my age. I don't teach it (much) to younger goalies as I teach them to block slide but there are times when I think it could be used. A bit like you do in this video

Yeah seen that video. I like the way you show the difference between the double (old fashioned but still used?) and split (new way) block slide. It would be useful to say when to use each type? But indoor you've added the one knee block. I think because the striker doesn't lift the stick to strike (as well as keeping the ball down) which is the trigger to slide? But outdoor you let a couple past because you hadn't fully committed to the slide. I consider the one knee block to be a half commit (maybe when unsure). In my case it's really useful because my ageing body is finding it increasingly hard to do a split block slide but I think a younger goalie could do it as a half commit?
