Dan's dad passed away in 2017. He released Amazing Grace this past Easter, 2023. It was one of his dads favorite hymns. He sang An American Trilogy a few days after his dad passed, which his dad was an Elvis fan and loved that song. It is very touching to watch and it always makes me cry. I found Dan with Amazing Grace a couple of months ago and have been hooked on him since. I am 65 and was never into any kind of metal or opera, until Dan. I absolutely LOVE the way he sings and like someone else said, he is gorgeous! I've never cared for long hair on guys, until Dan. ❤❤
I love how absolutely tender, raw & delicate he started the song even with the slight echo & with each verse exposing more talent & intensity. Dan Vasc has a God given talent that he has perfected over years of hard work into what it is today, devine & magnificent!!! He sang this song the way it was MEANT to be sung with such RESPECT, emotion & with a POWERFUL impact. I FELT the presence of GOD!!! This is the absolute very BEST version of 'Amazing Grace' that I've EVER heard in my ENTIRE life & I'm old (LOL). God BLESS Dan Vasc for sharing his wonderful talent & this video with the world! This is something the entire world could use more of if they only would do just that... use & show God's Amazing Grace! 💕🎶✝️🎶💕

Oh my. Absolutely Nothing HOLY about hell, (reacting to your comment) but loved your reaction. Honesty. Tears. Amazement. The first time i listened to Dan sing this, i cried. He has his eyes closed 2/3 or the song. Connecting with his recently passed father? I dont know. Such feeling! His range is unheard of...almost 4 full octives (1 turn shy of, for my music friends) covered in this song. Less than 4 men in the WORLD doing that. Amazing!! In snd of itself.

People are probably tired of reading me comment this, but I'm going to anyways. This song saved my life. I was in a dark place and fate made this appear as a suggestion for me to watch. I hadn't sobbed that hard in a while. Dan made me feel less alone in this world and that I'm not alone in trying our best everyday as flawed human beings. I'm not religious, but it felt like God hugged my heart. I hope someday he happens upon one of my comments. If he does, I want him to know how thankful I am for him. As Dan says, have an epic day!

His vocal talent completely aside, If I consider how my wife and I both reacted when we first heard it in our car (we kept giving each other high fives almost uncontrollably), I watch other people look almost literally transformed when hearing it and I read what you said...yeah, this is an anthem and it is straight from heaven. I'm a PK (Preacher's Kid) and have heard this performed, and performed it thousands of times throughout my 55 years. Dan ABSOLUTELY 💯 has the best rendition EVER! (Imho) He absolutely blows everyone else out of the park. I've listened to this since 3 weeks after he released it. Multiple times a day and it still gives me chills and moves me to tears. I truly believe that God ordained/inspired Dan to do this song "for such a time as this". When our world is in turmoil and more divided than ever. People are looking for hope and meaning, and nothing gives TRUE hope and meaning like God's amazing grace!! I feel like all of Heaven stood still when Dan performed this. Dan always puts his entire being into everything he sings. All of his covers are fantastic, but if you want to really be blown away, try looking at his cover of Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. It's a complete performance.

I’m with you….tears and goosebumps every time I listen to this and it’s been a bunch! His dad did give him a harmonica as a youngster. His dad passed in 2017. This song came out Easter this year. Just a clarification from a comment below. Dan does a beautiful job with the harmonica also in his rendition of Loch Lomond. Beautiful harmony with his friend and band member Gabriel.

It was a celebration as it was his 100th youtube video. (He's now up to about 240 videos.) As he sings, it shows a number of clips from his previous videos, with the titles and the number they were in his sequence of videos. Yes, he's Brazilian. He's Christian. He can sing everything from Opera, to Disney covers, to hymns, to heavy metal. Heavy metal is his favorite genre, and he enjoys bringing metal into non-metal songs (as you saw in "I'll Make a Man Out of You") I first found him through the Amazing Grace video a few months ago. I'm now a new and permanent fan - proud member of the "Vasc Nation" - which is what his fans call themselves. There's literally nothing this man can't sing. He puts passion into every song. His voice and vocal range are, in my opinion, unparalleled. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Dan Vasc!
Dan Vasc (it is pronounced like bask, but with a V instead of a B), is a phenomenal singer. He has also performed “Beauty and the Beast”, but there are so many other songs that you should listen to by him. “Nessun Dorma”, “Music of the Night”, “All I Ask of You”, “Phantom of the Opera”, “Love Me Tender”, “Fairytale”, “My Immortal”…just to name a few, he is amazing, and can sing anything. There are 242 videos to go through (probably again and again). We're all hoping for a new one, soon. You might want to search for Dan on other performers' channels, as well. One you might want to check for another reaction, soon, is Dan's version of "A Million Dreams." It has a very important message at the end (which, by the way, we would all prefer if you react to his "outros" as well as the songs, themselves. Dan has good messages at the end of a lot of the videos. That one is an important one for NOW, as you'll see when you get there. 😀

Check out his Angels We Have Heard on High and Gethsemane. Also, check out another great singer, David Phelps.. best tenor on the planet. sings O Holy Night, No More Night and loads of others
