Years ago I had a cassette tape that had Zero Hour and 3 other radio plays on it. Zero Hour was by far the best and I've been looking for it online ever since. It's just as good as I remember.
Word! I think I listened to the same cassette when I was a tween, and I took it out from the local library! The other scary stories were from other radio shows-one of which had this eerie 6/8 music that played at the end. Peace.

Incredible. Bradbury’s genius is eternal.
I love the line there's that sound again
One of the best series
The announcer says that this was done again. Martin Grams, Jr's book on this series lists this as the first version (and two follow). Chilling 😮
The first one may have been on Escape (Suspense's summer replacement at one point). 😊
This was amazing
Excellent
I agree
My favorite
But…..
Drill? That’s a peculiar name?
But Mink isn’t ?????
Excellent!!!
Very well done
Boy that's a great one.
I heard the same story on Dimension X! 👍
Do you ever respond to comments and questions?
obviously not.
are these re-recordings? I've heard this program countless times even though it's been 25 years and I remember it just sounding different...
Suspense ran 2 versions of this with different actors. There have been other covers of it as well.
I have the tv version from the Ray Bradbury show.
Little Evelyn Rudi's version is the best.
The adult's own fault, they had no firearms.
Ray guns are difficult to come by on earth.
This is a classic. The best version of this story is by Suspense. The worst version is by X-Minus 0ne. Blah!
