He is from Brazil but there has been a lot of buzz around this man for a while and like you many many have vocally reacted to him on their UA-cam channels, etc, both just reg people and like yourself vocal coaches. I have to believe there was buzz beforehand and the judges new he was coming on. Singing is Simon’s lane I would be shocked if this was the first time he ever heard him sing. What does anyone else think? The only negative I have to say is I wish he didn’t have to cut the song short because wow when he gets to build up and sing the whole thing it is a blessing to hear. He in every shape and form should win!

Gabriel is one of the few men who's whistle and head voice I love. Dimash's for example I can't stand, but Gabriel is friggin amazing.. Especially his "I wanna know what love is" in his car.. so unnnnnnnnnreal.. He should've been famous yrs ago.
