Jasper Crystal Bead Wire Wrapped Ring Tutorial

Hey guys, I’m Gina and today we’re making a beautiful, hand-crafted wire-wrapped ring. This ring uses a flat, 10mm Jasper Crystal Bead, 18 gauge copper wire, and 26 gauge copper weaving wire.
The brand of Wire I use is Wire Element by Beadsmith. It is medium temper tarnish resistant.

I love that you used a flat bead instead of a cabochon. The cabochons can definitely be problematic and I hardly ever make rings for that very reason. You have absolutely inspired me. Thank you!

@charlottelukowsku1433 You’re welcome! I agree, i have a difficult time keeping the cabochons in place and secure enough. Ive lost a few from smacking my hand against something by accident and the wire moves out of place just enough for the cab to come loose. I found these 8mm flat crystal beads and it became my favorite way to make rings. The bead is well secured to the frame with no chance of it falling out. Let me know if you make one! Id love to see!
