Nick: "As a kid, I liked it in the morning. Now I view [cereal] as a dessert." YES I couldn't agree more! Also Nick: "I only like soggy cereal." I've never felt so disgusted and betrayed in less than 10 seconds.
The slogan "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" is a marketing campaign used by cereal manufacturers to encourage people to eat their breakfast. The slogan was coined in the 19th century by James Caleb Jackson and John Harvey Kellogg to sell their breakfast cereal.
The emotional whiplash i just experienced. I am riding with Nick on the "put the blueberries INTO the pancake" one moment, and then the next I'm DYING with his "I eat SOGGY CEREAL"! My heart palpitations are off the charts hearing him say. he watches his cereal sit there and get soggy (like some kind of serial killer)!
I've known Matteo's work for years and always been a huge fan. I recently discovered this podcast and binge-watched it in 2 days. I'm so glad Nick got randomly attached to a group of comedians. It's hard to believe he is not in the business is so damn funny.
Grits are made from ground dried hominy corn. Polenta is made from ground dried corn. Never had a good biscuit in the north. Biscuits are to the south as bagels are to NYC.
One time I trolled a Northerner friend who asked where grits came from. I told her that in the South, we have grit trees, and you have to go pick each individual grit off the tree.
The way every episode starts and I’m like.. “start the timer…start the timer…start the timer….oh maybe they finally got someone else to keep time….oh nope 😂”
Oh my gosh, loving salmon, bagels, roasted with capers, red onions. I’m just throwing stuff out there while you guys are talking on my way to work love it.
No joke, this is the single most engaging food video I've seen. This was riveting and very relatable. Thanks for all the podcasts. You guys are lovely.
Grits are ground corn, much like polenta. Favorite savory breakfast: Biscuit with Virginia Country Ham. Favorite sweet breakfast: French toast for the win, Nick ! No flabby bacon, tyvm Matteo and Nick!!
Immediately smashed the thumbs up based solely on Nick's blouse Update: just tried to smash it repeatedly when the Correct Bacon Opinions came up, YES EXTRA CRISPY is the only way
NICK!!!! OMG I thought I would never find another human in this lifetime who loves soggy cereal! 💖❤💖 The integration of flavors with the milk is such a bonus too! I never understand why people eat their cereal immediately. It's just like eating it separately and the milk separately. Though an integral part of this philosophy is having cocoa cereal to get the best milk ever! Still, 😘😘😘 from California
I enjoyed the episode, and when it comes to bacon, I like it medium cooked. As for breakfast cereals, my go-to would be Honey Nut Cheerios, Cocoa Pebbles, or Graham Cracker cereal. I agree with Matteo that if the eggs aren't cooked properly its a complete turn away from wanting to eat them. I will look forward to another episode and wish you both continued success.
Who knew ask it took to silence Mateo was soggy cereal. Now you know, Nick. Love you both. And I don't know how, but these keep getting better. Thank you. Please don't stop. Oh and I can't wait for you both to do an infomercial of your own together.
Ah, Nick, the time-traveling enthusiast, strikes again! Apparently, Nick's secret to mastering time management could be simple: he needs a timer to start the timer.
breakfast is a capitalist construct; cereal is very much more a dessert; and nick slays these blouses- my fave is the deep purple? (colourblind, it was either dark navy, or a deep purple, was more drawn to the pattern, texture and design which was to die for) one with the black pants-all in all, nick devoured this episode like a bowl of soggy cereal 🔥🔥🔥🏴🤖
Grits is from corn, but what part of the cob is a mystery. In that way, grits is the scrapple of hot cereals. And it makes me feel like a rebel because grammatically it's singular, not a plural. Grits is wild that way. Cook it looow and slooow, with garlic and onion powders, some salt and pepper, and some sharp cheese tossed in at the end, and serve it as a bed for a crispy over-medium egg, fried with extra salted butter, which you pour over the egg and onto the grits. Then shake on Cholula. Omnomnom! And I like my scrapple cut thin and overcooked, super crispy everywhere, with ketchup. And OH! Cereal on vanilla ice cream, definitely a late night snack. My mom used to say "evidently." Thanks for the memory. ❤
I love this podcast, I love the girls, and I love the quirky and appreciative community that you find in the comments. It's a wonderful experience al the way around.
You know, I think a great member's only/Patreon content idea would be talking about every topic just a little bit longer. I can listen to you two go in and out of topic all day hahaha
I am with Nick on this one. I still eat the same cereals I did as a kid, Frosted Flakes and Capt’n Crunch. And I will only eat them soggy. My favorite snack an adult is a bowl of Frosted Flakes anytime of the day or night. Once I pour the cereal in the bowl I squash the cereal with the back of my spoon and then add the milk and walk away. I’ll come back about 15 minutes later and eat it. It’s so perfect. As for Capt’n Crunch, when I was a kid I wasn’t allowed to have that on school days, I pour the bowl of cereal and cover it with milk and then walk away for about 20 minutes. And then I take the smallest spoon I have and I eat three of the peanut butter crunches at a time until they’re gone, and then I eat three of the berries at a time until they’re gone and then drink the milk. YUM!!
Two things I love about Nick. He always dresses up and he never hits the timer.
And 100% the two of them will have independent conversations at the same time.
“I like my bacon extra crispy, I like my cereal soggy, and I like my men void of all emotions.” - Nick Smith
“I like my Eggs scrambled and hard. Just like my men” - Nick Smith
🤣Laugh out LOUD funny 😆🤣
The sound that came out of my mouth.
😂 me as well BB, ❤ me as well 😂❤
An icon and I’m living for it
'I prefer to live lethargically' 😂😂 gonna steal that
I agree with him wholeheartedly!
Mood
Evidently 😂
I’ve never wanted merch so badly.
I think I live this way already 🤔,😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nick: "As a kid, I liked it in the morning. Now I view [cereal] as a dessert."
YES I couldn't agree more!
Also Nick: "I only like soggy cereal."
I've never felt so disgusted and betrayed in less than 10 seconds.
Nick forgetting the timer is like when your teacher is late to class. It’s euphoric
Absolutely perfect description
When Nick said put the blueberry INSIDE the pancakes I yelled YESSS. I never felt so heard
Not me screaming at the screen 15 seconds in.."the timer Nick...the timer Nick...you are going to piss off Mateo" 😂
Love you guys 😊
The slogan "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" is a marketing campaign used by cereal manufacturers to encourage people to eat their breakfast. The slogan was coined in the 19th century by James Caleb Jackson and John Harvey Kellogg to sell their breakfast cereal.
you must be fun at parties
@@wakeupalice9574 thanks 😘
I think you'd be my favorite at the party! Wait, till whoever that was finds out about Milk, and "Fat free" ranch. 😂@DeianLightbringer
Harvey Kellogg created his cereals to rob men of their boners. It's a known fact; look it up.
Weren’t they also campaigning against masturbation?
Less than 15 mins?????? why
Nick was being silly. All is forgiven.
They didn’t set the timer so maybe that’s why! lol 🥴
I’m assuming you got to the part where Nick forgot the timer again. That is always the first thing I look for in the first 30 seconds lol
That timer is going to elude him forever I think 😂
Because Nick didn't start the timer, we should get a breakfast part deux:
All my fav pods and reaction vids have become way to long, I appreciate the brevity
When Nick was describing about his cereal being soggy and things he didn’t like I heard a familiar voice. Roger from American Dad 😂
How do I fall more and more in love with Nick each episode? The limit for my affection does not exist
Same!
The emotional whiplash i just experienced. I am riding with Nick on the "put the blueberries INTO the pancake" one moment, and then the next I'm DYING with his "I eat SOGGY CEREAL"! My heart palpitations are off the charts hearing him say. he watches his cereal sit there and get soggy (like some kind of serial killer)!
more like "cereal killer"! 🤣
😂
🤢 Soggy ANYthing.
I have to eat cereal like a snack because I refuse to put milk in it. The texture of soggy cereal makes me want to gag
Came looking for this comment.
I’m in love with Nick’s ensembles. They’re fabulous 👏🏽
I love Nick's outfits as well. Mateo, however, feels HE is more well-dressed in super hero T-shirts!
I've known Matteo's work for years and always been a huge fan. I recently discovered this podcast and binge-watched it in 2 days. I'm so glad Nick got randomly attached to a group of comedians. It's hard to believe he is not in the business is so damn funny.
Oh dear god "Soggy cereal" is up there with "soggy bread" as top things to say to make me start to dry heave🤣🤣🤣
I agree with Nick on the blueberries in the pancakes/waffles. I want any of my toppings made in not on top
This is the classiest podcast space I've ever seen. Well done, sirs.
Elegant cat statue really sets it off.
The way i screamed “it’s literally in the name y’all, the cream of WHEAT” 😂😂😂
i love that what made Nick blank at the beginning was forgetting to set the timer 😂
STEAK...WELL DONE? STEAK WELL DONE?????
I’m so disappointed that Nick didn’t dig into that
For as much as Matteo talks about food, this was very disappointing.
How could he be such a food snob and order a well-done steak??
He called Nick the psychopath for his food preferences but we know who the real psychopath is
The way this HURT me to hear.
These two are so fantastic together. Absolutely perfect. 👌
The sneeze was aggressive bless you nick!! Lol

I was so excited to find another cereal dessert person then he had to go and say something crazy 😂
Oh my gosh, loving salmon, bagels, roasted with capers, red onions. I’m just throwing stuff out there while you guys are talking on my way to work love it.
“Eggs with cheese, salt and *smirks at camera* pepper” *giggles 😂😂😂 this was such a great one
Yes!
Nick just wanted to give us more time to admire his outfit. ❤😂 Thanks for thinking of us!
The laughter & “oh my god”s in the background are SENDING ME
I physically recoiled when Nick said he lets his cereal sit and only eats it soggy. Absolutely not. 💀
"what's the cocoa version of fruity pebbles? Cocoa crisps?" 😂
I put an obscene amount of cream cheese on my bagels!
9:20 The guy in the background just losing it
This was the best one yet!! I couldn't stop laughing😂😂😂
Can always count of Nick saying something to leave Matteo speechless!!!! lmao🤣🤣🤣🤣
" *gasp*... 😒... Nick, this is your only responsibility" ROFL 🤣🤣🤣
Nick - your air fryer is perfect for cooking bacon. (grits are made from corn.)
The best bacon is made in a air fryer!
CHRIS' LAUGH ALWAYS GETS ME!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Same!
Cereal as low key evening snack!! The Best!
I absolutely NEVER want to hear that it's your last podcast!!! I live for you guys just cutting it up!
No joke, this is the single most engaging food video I've seen.
This was riveting and very relatable. Thanks for all the podcasts.
You guys are lovely.
9:00 Go Nick, stand up for what you believe in!
And you’re gay! *SILENCE* 😂😂 I love you Nick
"What are grits?" Makes me think of "My Cousin Vinny."
“What’s a grit?” 😂
As a girl from the South and a movie buff. Thank you for this. ❤😂
Also, how does Matteo not know grits and polenta are the same thing?
“What is a grit”? 😂 I quote the whole movie.. drives everyone bat shit crazy 😜
Grits are ground corn, much like polenta. Favorite savory breakfast: Biscuit with Virginia Country Ham. Favorite sweet breakfast: French toast for the win, Nick ! No flabby bacon, tyvm Matteo and Nick!!
I'm with Nick. Blueberries IN the pancakes 🥞
Otherwise it’s pancakes WITH blueberries, right? Not the same
I'm totally with Nick on no runny eggs.
Immediately smashed the thumbs up based solely on Nick's blouse
Update: just tried to smash it repeatedly when the Correct Bacon Opinions came up, YES EXTRA CRISPY is the only way
Listening to how particular you guys are, and thinking how precious I am about my latte, I'm surprised more servers don't go postal 😂❤
My mom and I get all psycho if there is less than a 1/2" of cream cheese on our bagels.
I am with you on this, if i dig into the cream cheese a little and see bagel, i need more cream cheese
@@marion957 That's how I grew up, but when I moved to Colorado, they just put a little one, as if it's butter.
