In my opinion, this way of delivering electronic music is the most correct, since it is live, by this, these guys explain to the public how electronic music is written and there are not many such bands ... I think that the older generation, which in its “time” is not had an idea of such a sound due to the lack of appropriate "instruments", if you show this record or any other from the live of this duet, there will be many people who say: "it is not as simple as it seems."
jeff mills has a video making pure techno on just a 909 so the oldheads could do it too but they just didn't embrace it like these newer guys are (AFAIK i could be wrong.) DJing, decks have their place but this is great esp for people who go clubbing solely to see the artist! it's much more of a connection, like seeing a live rock band jamming. There's also guys like Fjaak who don't improvise from scratch live but play their tracks on their actual gear.
Weird to see they got rid of the DSI Tempest. At some point they even had 2 I think and were doing a lot of things out of it. My guess is Digitone is controlling Microbrute? Also weird to see the Elektron sample for drums instead of more high-end stuff. Guess they invested in pedals!
Mateo Leganes Sometines less is more, I imagine using the digitakt frees up a huge amount of space and is simpler to operate for what they want than the alternatives, it’s a powerful little box in the right hands

thing that strikes me, with their level of fluency with these machines , how better can it sound if they really decide to focus on arranging and composing and thinking through the whole tune and do they do that with studio work. or it can't be made that way for thumping techno logic because of this feel that can be achieved only by playing all live? same goes to nearly any live techno/noise acts out there who do everything improvised as in an only "true" way. don't get me wrong, there is an allure in all gear rushing forward and melt into each other and also strong point in making every show unique. but some of their tunes that happen to be made by chance are so out of this world fresh and ground breaking and mind blowing (the second and the last tune from london boiler set for example), but most of the time - it is pretty bland , it's.. it's just this train rushing forward. in the vid they even say themselves "if it works". the difference is just so steep between some of these gems and other parts. The finest and most unique duo in electronic scene. Their sense for music is out of this world.
i guess I'm kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good site to stream newly released tv shows online ?
Id argue tolkachev is by far the most unique, but these guys are up there aswell, they more Groovy non the less

I think I can speak for everyone when I say I wish this were longer!
It's amazing to see how this went from unquantized turing machine chaos of candlelit boilerroom to this sonically pleasing & astonishing performance.
this was simultaneously energizing yet relaxing at the same time. cant wait to see more of this live one day and just get lost
