I’m also a hairstylist and in the clip of her pulling your foils, it looks like it just wasn’t lifted enough so she probs had to tone it down, and yeah not enough foils for sure!!

When I was doing nails, I would get a full set from another nail tech that did beautiful nails!! Except when she did mine it was like she had just graduated from school 😂🤦🏼♀️ it was so frustrating but I would just fix them later at home or on her days off. But I totally get how you want to just chill & get a service done & it goes not as well as you’d wish!
But also you always do such an amazing job on your hair haha that looks amazing on you Sam!!!

As a hairstylist, I totally get what you mean. Sometimes I wish I could do my own hair how I would do it on someone else. I just got a bob a few months ago and I was so disappointed 😭 I had to go home and even it out. I’m contemplating lightening it up a bit myself now lol

No offense to the lady that did your hair but you can definitely see the deference in expertise. You clearly know your stuff. She on the other hand has a lot more experience to obtain to even compare to the level of stylist your at. When you showed her result I was like "you're kidding right? I'm not even a stylist and I can do better than that". Your end result is absolute perfection. Not to bash her as a stylist. She'll get there some day. ❤

I absolutely love your hair color. I chose a Macchiato color at Wade Gordon, where I love going for hair color. My hair is so dark. I didn't want it this dark. I would've preferred your color shade over this color.

That is a frustrating situation. It’s way too common for people to not get what they want from a stylist. The last time I had mine done was the best I’ve ever had and that is saying a lot.

Thank you for posting your hair color oops. I had something similar happen with my hairdresser. Instead of bright highlights I ended up with copper all over and splotches of my dark root color all over. I almost cried. My hairdresser is so sweet and I couldn’t call back so she could fix it. I went the next day to someone else and paid for a color correction. I’m not mad, things happen. when I got home and saw my hair was red, i thought i might as well keep going and try to get lighter than going back to dark to cover the oops. My end result is what you ended up with at the salon. I’m grateful that my hair wasn’t damaged. Your end result is beautiful. ❤

Can you do a curling video? My hair is very similarly cut to yours and it only looks like that when my stylist curls it. I’ve tried several different ways to curl like that and I can never do it 😂

Is dossier in Walmart now?
Hi how long have you been with your breast implant. And how you ever thought of removing them for a smaller size
This October will be 4 years, and yeah, sometimes I do wish I went with my instincts and did a smaller size. My doctor recommended this size based on my chest measurements, and sometimes I think they’re perfect, sometimes I think they’re a little too big with certain clothes. I’m definitely going to replace them (or take them out completely) around the 10 year mark, as recommended, and will probably go smaller then. We’ll see!

Did she tone it?... Well even so if she used 10-15 vol it would be dark still. I wonder why she used such a low developer!!!
That’s not how developer works lol 10 and 15 volume can get the same amount of lift as a 20 or 30 volume. The only difference is the speed at which they process. The safe and responsible way to lighten already color treated hair is to start with a lower volume in your first section, so by the time you finish the entire head that first section would ideally finish processing versus starting with a higher volume, it processing too fast, and then having to stop mid color service to go rinse out your first section to avoid over processing the hair and causing unnecessary damage.
I asked her not to do anything too strong. I never use anything stronger than 20 on myself, and as long as you leave it longer, you can actually get much better and cleaner lift with low volume :) It lifted perfectly fine, there just weren’t enough highlights back to back, so they got lost in the dark color.

Nitpicking how? She was super nice and graceful about it despite her hair looking 0% like the inspo pics. I would have been devastated with that result. Thankfully she can fix it herself and took it like a champ imo.
