I messaged Judie Tzuke on Twitter a few years ago and told her how much I love this song, without going into all the details, she messaged me back thanking me for my kind words, and I was so chuffed 🥰 the power of the internet, and modern technology can be used for good, more than bad 😀
Then one day you will wake and you will be 59, like me; but I have the memories of all the beautiful songs that have graced my life. Stay With Me Till Dawn, being one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Take heed of what Darell9029 is saying my friend, enjoy every moment of your life. You don't get a return ticket on this ride. Take care out there.
Update on the most beautiful songs ever written; how about Marmalade, "Reflections Of My Life"? Every time I hear it it takes me back to a specific time in my youth. A sad and very moving song, sung with such feeling.
I’ve not listened to this since I was about 18! Which would have been in late ‘89! Despite the amount of love songs to choose from back then, this amazing killer always took me to the depths of regret & despair. I’m 52 now & this song has an will always crush me for not opening up as a young 18 year old who was head over heels in love with a beautiful stunning girl who was 2 years younger than me, my parents done everything to put me off Nicola, she was a bit wild but I loved the bones of this girl. We kinda mapped out our own lives & moved on, I bumped into her when I was 29 & said hello, she was with her sister & some friends in a pub that my mum ran at the time! She was gorgeous as usual but I’d met & settled down with the now mother of our three amazing children. Fast forward Mother’s Day 2016 & my sister text me to tell me the dreadful news that my 1st serious relationship as a daft teenager had took her own life, aged 42. I’ve been single for 12 years now, I’ve split up with the mother of our kids but the thought of never setting eyes on my teenage sweetheart weirdly hurts more. I couldn’t love anyone else now.Look forward to going on to another life. “Your keeping me from someone I want to know” was my weakness as a teenager. I would never let my guard down, especially in front of my mates! In life, no matter what age you are, always openly express your true feelings towards people who you may end up spending the rest of your life with! Always go with your heart, without hesitation!!! We get one crack at life, mine has been blown.
I first heard this when a 17yo girl gave me somewhere to sleep when I was thrown out of home at 12 yo. Joanne was so nìce and showed me love when I needed it and I will never forget her favorite song as she had been let down by her parents and she had to fend for herself at 12 also. I would love to be able to cuddle her like the first time I ever heard this song to say Thanks for the love and help she gave me💕🇦🇺⚘
my high school teacher miss hawkes in 1978 had a similar resemblance to judie tzuke i was 15 years old and with this song i;d imagine myself being with her even though she was maybe 30 years old my high school crush with a mature woman great memories
My parents often danced to this when I was about five years old. I rediscovered the song three decades later, listening to this gives me an overwhelming feeling of love and nostalgia every single time.
In 1979 my father had a car accident with me and my little sister in the car we were lucky to survive the accident this song was playing on the radio at the time and still playing after the collision my sister and i still to this day say to each other stay with me till dawn as if to say do you remember that accident great song tho it always brings back that moment.
Most evocative expression of love, finally requited, ever written. I would love to meet judie just to hug her and say that is the feeling I had 36 years ago when I married the woman of my dreams. We have 8 grandchildren and a houseful of love whenever any one of them is here - or all at once :-)
I was 14 when this came out. So impressionable!Hormones and discovering girls and those crazy feelings. This song took me far away in my mind . It was beautiful then as it is now.
Had the pleasure of seeing this beautiful lady singing this beautiful song, Birmingham, UK, 1981. Love songs don't come much better than this. My daughter was born this year too. It was a very, very good year....
This is an absolute masterpiece. It uses so many period elements so artfully. It remains both bound in a time, and timeless. This recording is amazing, and we are lucky to have it.
that's cos commercial radio only plays crap all the time-the same OLD guff. Why does no one exterminate fully the likes of tragic magic, shit smooth, 9.58 crapital fa, devirginated, fart heart, kiss piss and the rest. 'Hang the fucking dj all right'. Blow em all up-and all the twat listeners that keep all these cocksuckers in work-not the mention the shit 'artists' and old lags always played.
Judy, Judy, Judy....if course those of us who were around when this song was first released will remember this, but it's as beautiful now if not more so and should be re-released asap! There is some Music that stands the test of time; this song goes way beyond that! Such wonderful, beautiful emotions being conjured up just by listening to a Song.....this is amazing!!
I first heard this song since 1975-76. I had it brought from Australia on a 45-speed disc. I still have it. I loved this girl who brought it to me. Unfortunately, we were unable to live together. I am still listening. The power of the sound and the power of love can awaken beautiful feelings.
Has to be in anyone's all time top ten if your born mid sixtys onwards . Pure timeless brilliance. Welcome to the cruise, what a great cover to the album.
this song is my absolute favorite of all time i remember recording this on my tape recorder and nobody was allowed to breath lol played it over and over... and now I still play it over and over without interruptions lol great song and my name is in the title what can I say!!!! xxx
i absolutelyyyyyy loovvve this song, when i was in labour the hospital had a small radio, with MAGIC playing, an i remember this song coming on,,,,couldnt have been a better song, relaxing and lovely, once my daughter was born, i used to play an sing it to her, she is 6months old now, when i listen to this..brings bk memories in the delivery room!!!!
Been trying to find this song for days. At first it was just music in my mind probably from the 80"s and then I try thinking of the lyrics but I think it's stay with me tonight and Google that then I try sad sad situation instead of same old situation (Elton John comes up ) So I put it on the back burner and like everytime I ask myself a question I know that the answer will arrive...Then 5 minutes ago I remember it's stay with me till Dawn and what a beautiful song.. Just thought I would share this with you beautiful people who must be beautiful people coz only beautiful people would be listening to this......
I was 13 when this came out , i liked punk rock , ska , the mod revival, but even at 13 yrs old , i knew ... oh i knew , same as 10cc I'm not in love , gilbert osullivan alone again , even as a real youngster i was a sucker for a boss song , guilty pleasure , a guilty pleasure i have enjoyed , everything but the girl didn't know I was looking for love, tears for fears advice , pet shop boys love comes quickly , zero 7 destiny , massive attack protection and my all time favourite , a song called violet by seal , all in my now mature opinion masterpieces of both music production but masterpieces for lyrical content , and thats all i have to say about that , so many songs have superb lyrics that are lost with accompanying music that detracts from them , its only when you get older that you listen to them and have that lightbulb moment ... what songs have done this to you .. another one was from a band called puddle of mud , vant remember what its called at the moment , but its not a love song about a woman , its about his son , very powerful indeed ,
What a beautiful song, with very emotive lyrics. Just heard the song on the wireless And had to listen to it again. First time I've heard for over 25yrs. Totally forgot the artist name. I'll not forget again. Many thanks.

Yes a beautiful song that Will never fade away in time like the song ( i whont to make it with you) by the band bread songs like these bring back memories of our young life
I remember seeing her at Rock City in Nottingham in '79/'80. What a stunner, beautiful voice, beautiful song. Got 4 of her albums, not sure if they are all she did.
When this song was in the charts at the end of the 70s, I didn't think I'd taken much notice of it. Now when I hear it, I'm back there. It's amazing what thirty years distance can do. I love it now.
Only reason I can still listen to it, after all these years is because this lady has the most amazing and beautifully haunting voice I've ever heard.. Reminds me of Stevie Nicks 'Fleetwood Mac' 😁👍💖
i remember seeing for the first time on tv i always thought is she singing this song to me and how can i meet her she really was a beautiful lady yeah in my dreams
Spine tingling strings. Mylo heavily samples this beautiful record in his equally as good (if not better) 'Need You Tonite'. Both the original and Mylo's excellent re-interpretation are superb, intricate yet simple pieces of music. Quality quality stuff :-) (oh and if you look at life from a different angle I think this is Wedding music, not funeral music, and I'm an existentialist)
Thanks to whoever put this up here. I have been searching for this song for many many years. Just heard it once when I stayed home from HighSchool but I have never forgoten it.
Thank you for this video. I've had this song going around my head the last couple of days and couldn't think for the life of me what it was called. Finally found out! Beautiful sunset video.
I asked my mum for this for my 9th birthday and I'm 58 now and I still have it, somewhere🌻🌻🌻
Listened to this for over 40 years now. Never tire of listening to Judi' s voice . Love it.❤
This takes me right back to the warm amazing summer evenings with beautiful sunsets 1979 when I was 18 oh what memories
I messaged Judie Tzuke on Twitter a few years ago and told her how much I love this song, without going into all the details, she messaged me back thanking me for my kind words, and I was so chuffed 🥰 the power of the internet, and modern technology can be used for good, more than bad 😀
I have met and spoken with her many times in Weybridge many years ago , very talented

The years have rolled on, still one of my all time favourites ❤️
Still a brilliant song
You don't slow down when you get old; You get old when you slow down. And Judie Tzuke is still touring, and sounding fabulous, by the way :-)
Brilliant, love it!
Beautiful song reminds me of my youth 😘
my high school years
Fantastic song with great memories from 1979
Yes. Me too. I met my husband that year and still so much in love.
Most evocative expression of love, finally requited, ever written. I would love to meet judie just to hug her and say that is the feeling I had 36 years ago when I married the woman of my dreams. We have 8 grandchildren and a houseful of love whenever any one of them is here - or all at once :-)

Had the pleasure of seeing this beautiful lady singing this beautiful song, Birmingham, UK, 1981. Love songs don't come much better than this. My daughter was born this year too. It was a very, very good year....

This just stands RIGHT up and is a REAL classic, from summer 1979. Doesn't seem to get much airplay on the radio these days however.
from my high school years and now i play this to remind me of those much simpler days
I have not heard this song in years Judie has a lovely singing voice
She sounds genuinely vulnerable and hurt. It's a wonderful performance.
can't believe it. haven't heard this for AT LEAST 25 years. first two bars and I'm in tears. thought I was well over it. apparently not....
Wow - what a tug at emotions I thought were buried...! Just beautiful

It's from 1979
The background in the video makes it even better
its a classic beyond the irreverent
A late warm summer evening in 1979 song and video complement each otherwise, beautiful haunting song
An absolute timeless classic …..immerse your self in the tempo as it rolls over you…. catch the essence of the dawn …..but most of all enjoy it …
Has to be in anyone's all time top ten if your born mid sixtys onwards . Pure timeless brilliance. Welcome to the cruise, what a great cover to the album.

Beautiful song of love from a time gone by but still loved today. It remains a classic always will. I truly love it .😀

Bought the vinyl album when it first came, but as time goes by I had to purchase the CD. Places a tear in my eye whenever I play the song.
This is my first time hearing this song, and I'm already feeling nostalgia.
Thanks to whoever put this up here. I have been searching for this song for many many years. Just heard it once when I stayed home from HighSchool but I have never forgoten it.
Omg I used to listen to this when I was a kid and completely forgot about it till now!!
