- I go dirt biking offroad for the second day in a row, and my second time ever. I ride a 2015 Yamaha YZ450F motorcross bike out at Boulders OHV offroad area near Phoenix Arizona. My friend is riding a 2023 KTM 450XC-F. The Yamaha bike has a full FMF exhaust system.
We ride both single track and double track in this video. This is my second time dirt biking and I was making a bit of progress from the first day. I give my opinions on how dirt biking is different than riding a street bike.

The fact that you were out hitting those hills for the 2nd time ever on a dirt bike and a 450 mx bike at that you were doing great! Much better than me on a dirt bike the first couple times (also from street riding background). Also you stayed calm when you stalled out was awesome. Hope to see more vids of you riding dirt in the future man!
Heck yeah man! I just got my first bike a few months back (xr600r) I never had a street bike so building that clutch control has been a journey! Hope to catch you out there man!
you should be standing more and pushing down with your feet to help you turn. I was using the bars and my buddy was telling me to lean because using the bars can be unpredictable
Props for staying with it.
Keep after it- use your clutch to "slip" with more throttle- it is hard to get that into our heads when come from street bikes the goal is to get that gear shifted and get the clutch fully engaged- I fell down a lot when I 1st got started. Momentum is your friend :-)

The first trail he went down at the start of vid is Boulders 9049 not sure about the rest.
