Besides, in the IDW comics Amy clearly states Sonic "basically raised Tails", so how thye met doesn't change the fact that he kinda did raise him as he was the person that influenced him the most and took care of him while they grew up. Raising doesn't mean just taking a baby and nurturing it 😅
Lets be honest, if there's someone beside Sonic that would've been capable of running the metal virus away, perhaps even more then fricking Shadow since he uses his Air Shoes. ...yeah, Tails's my bet, he's the goat.

In this fancomic, Tails got infected by it, and since Zombots can regenerate themselves to their state before transformation, he asks Sonic to break his tail so his Zombot form cant fly to Angel island.
Generally tails are muscles and bones that are extended above the rump. Underneath all that floof is a nub of flesh, muscle and bone. If you see a cats tail, that's close to what it looks like, though some may be shorter or longer. I'd imagine that would work.
i have a feeling that if eggman actually did put tails through that, and then came back and grabbed him by his bad tail, if he wasn't already dead beforehand that is, he definitely would be after that one. he would finally agree with shadow and let eggman be taken care of for good.

6:27 I love that when Sonic grabs and infects Eggman, EVERYONE but Sonic is utterly shocked at this, METAL SONIC being taken by surprise is immensely telling of how out of character this is, as the OVA said "Metal knows everything Sonic is going to do and Sonic knows everything Metal is going to do" and to see the look of utter surprise on the badnik's face at how Sonic is reacting to the doctor's cruel taunts with this simmering rage and dead seriousness in his eyes, it adds to Metal's character as he's only ever seen Sonic when hes joking around or taking it in stride, this is a side of Sonic that he's never seen up close, a Sonic who is too tired and angry to mask this completely serious side with jokes and witty banter, a Sonic that is done with Eggman's antics and at his mental limit.
Plus I get the mental image of Metal with a thought bubble of Tails is now "off limits," adding a funny side to that last scene where Metal is with Eggman fighting with everyone but Tails and when Eggman grabs Tails and Sonic shows up, the doctor turns to order Metal to attack only to have a note reading "Self-preservation is top priority, I will retrieve your remains later. Your greatest creation - Metal" more or less saying the Eggman's on his own, he's not dying because of Eggman's choice to grab Tails.
I was more focusing on Metal Sonic's reaction to the scene I brought up. As stated above in reference to the OVA, Metal Sonic was basically "born" to beat Sonic at his own game and thus, has been "trained" on "everything" Sonic is capable of and more, and just the sheer fact that Sonic's outburst took METAL SONIC (I remind you, a robot meant to be Sonic's EQUAL. (disregarding his rate of success) and trained on Sonic's battle data that Eggman has compiled over the years) completely by suprise, is very telling of how "NOT Sonic" this is to Metal, the fact Sonic WILLINGLY infected Eggman and gave an Ultimatum of "if you don't help us, I'm making sure you go down with us." This is all completely out of left field for Metal, everyone else is shocked or surprised, but could see that Eggman was pushing Sonic to his breaking point, Eggman was surprised because he didn't expect the "bear in the cage" to physically lash out after he kept poking, but quickly realized he pushed his luck and got "burnt" for it, Metal has neither as he operates on facts and logic, so the facts of "Sonic is a care-free and optimistic individual who often saves the world against all odds and is seen as a symbol of joy and freedom" and and the pure machine logic which doesn't factor emotions into its calculations, leads Metal to not even consider that this is a possible situation that could happen, and when it does, he has no clue what he's supposed to do as he has no "if X person does/not Y action, Respond with A or B reaction" (meaning he never planned on this because why would you plan for something that, in your mind, is a 1000% "this will never happen" scenario?)
That’s what I love about Sonic, regardless of his altruistic attitude about freedom, he has an edge to him and will hurt anyone if his loved ones are hurt and still not go to the dark aide
i nearly started crying. i wanted to. tails is my (second) favorite character, while not always having the best portrayal in some instances, he’s just so sweet and innocent at heart. i love him so much, it hurt so bad to watch this, but i’m a sucker for angst so i absolutely loved this. kudos to you dubbers and the comic artist! ❤

I don't know but I think you fold it in half, like you're folding paper, and press it down for the crease, make sure you hear a crack or breaking sound. Or smash it with a head rock, like you are beating something to death. Make sure you are using a lot of force with each strike. Continue until you hear the breaking sound and a lot of blood. The tail should look unrecognizable.
