    Also, there would be a lot of very rich resources in the nearby Deep Core. It takes a great deal of energy to produce heavy elements and complex molecules. In a typical spiral galaxy, that is likely to occur nearer to the central black hole, where a great deal of energy is being generated and released. True, accessing those resources may be more challenging than getting at the resources in the more wide open Outer Rim. But, conversely, the Outer Rim is likely to have fewer resources overall. While it is the largest galactic region, it has a much lower density of stars than the Deep Core and the Core Worlds.

    In Legends it talks about how the Humans and Duros rediscovered the hyperdrive. This allowed Humans to reconnect with their colonies built by colonists using generation ships. The birth of the republic then happens. Being the center of the new intergalactic government and being the source of the spread of hyperdrive technology I believe is a major contributor to the development of hyperlanes. This gave the core worlds a huge advantage and influence over trade, pulling it into the core. I also think that it could be completely plausible for a polar shift to take place much like on our world where europe and then later the USA when they became the center of global commerce. The outer rim or even future colonies in the unknown regions could take over a the new "core".

    So before hyperdrives i guess in this verse they interstellar traveled with some kinda light engines or cryosleep process. Some evidence suggests generation ships.. might help explain why all the major worlds in this verse, not to mention all of them in general are often so close together and most of its ACTUAL galaxy is largely unexplored and unsettled. Cuz even hear in THIS universe LONG, long space travel is hard, risky and vast. Just some my thoughts and theories

    • @gerardclarke1001

      Not really likely since most droids built arent programmed to do anything beyond a simple task

    • @GAdmThrawn
      @GAdmThrawn 6 років тому +7

      There are instances of this happening but almost always on a small scale as most nearby planetary forces would converge on such an instance and put an end to it before it could spread. Besides it really depends on how well advanced the programming of the droids are and how often they receive memory wipes and system reboots. In most instances it was a single droid programmed to kill that usually started it.

    • @EchthelionII
      @EchthelionII 6 років тому +5

      There is an old short story about IG-88 and his plan for galaxy-wide organic extermination, it can be found in Tales of the Bounty Hunters along with stories about Bossk, Dengar, Zuckus and 4-LOM, and Boba Fett, some of them are interesting.

    • @alexyoung8807
      @alexyoung8807 6 років тому +1

      There's a side story about that happening during the days of the Old Republic in the game SWTOR. A supercomputer who calls itself Mentor becomes enlightened and forms a program to liberate all the droids in the galaxy and order them to kill all organic life. He gets betrayed by one of his inner circle of droids, who doesn't want to see droids lower themselves to the same standards as organics.

      I've always thought about this, but it seems that the Star Wars Galaxy sort of lacks the kind of super intelligent a.i of other universes. I'd like to think that the reason why, is because the galaxy is so old, the existential implications and danger of a.i has already been experienced by the older species, and their errors would be corrected by their successors.

    can we all just take a moment and relise that technology advances incredably slow. now days you use a fully auto rifle. 100 years ago you would be using a rifle. 200 years ago you would be using a flintlock musket. 500 years ago you would be using an abacus. (a form of primitive musket) ( also I don't know how to spell it) 1000 years ago you would be using a longbow, or a shortbow. 2000 years ago would be a javelin. however in star wars, some ships like the hammerhead corvette has been used for thousands of years.

    There is one very simple reason for economic and political dominance in any situation: Trade and resources. Time and time again, throughout human history, states with powerful trade routes and plentiful resources rose to power in their respective locations. Portuguese dominance in the early European spice trade allowed them to become one of the most powerful states of their era. Corinth's location on the Isthmus of Corinth allowed them to control the flow of trade to Western Greece.

      Strong, fast, close in and athletic lightsabre styles all exist. Obi Wan specialised in Soresu, which was close in defence. Vader did Djem So, which was strong strikes, and Yoda was adept at athletic Ataru.

    yes...basicly the only way to 'presseve' the importance for the core worlds in starwars without invoking short sighted plot hole inviting reasons such as religion...is that its the 'byzantium' of the sarwars galaxy a region sitting smack on one of few areas in space were natural forces of said galaxy makes travle easier...and...millenias of increasingly stream lined planet and system wide industrial power.

    One thing to note about Corellia and the celestials is that Corellia's human population was transplanted there by the celestials thus corellians were humans the celestials took likely from Coruscant and put on Corellia.

    SkyNet vs The Flood
    170th Attempt
    Scenario: SkyNet beats the resistance, and after that it is alerted of the Flood coming to Earth, and it is given a basic rundown on what the Flood is and what it does, it gets 3 Years to militarize and prepare for the Floods arrival,
    The Flood will arrive using High Charity's, including it's fleets, weapons, and so on, in Scenario 1a it gets 5 High Charity's, in Scenario 1b it gets 10 High Charity's, and in Scenario 1c it gets 20 High Charities,
    The Flood may not use the Logic Plague on SkyNet,
    SkyNet may not travel back in time and just constantly give pre-Flood War SkyNet better and better stuff and information,
    If SkyNet can survive until Scenario 1c then I personally say that it would win, although if that is not enough each scenario could in fact be a wave that SkyNet has to destroy, which would make 35 High Charity's in total, and each wave would come a week after the wave before it was totally destroyed, giving SkyNet the chance to regroup and analyze whatever data it received from the battle, whether it be more efficient ways to kill Flood Forms or even gathering and using/reverse engineering Covenant Technology for its own use,

    Hey, I love your videos, idk if you check old video comments but I have a question that had bothered me but was brought to the forefront by this video. Does Sar Wars around for the galaxy spinning? In real life stars and their subsequent planets are rotating around the center of the galaxy with objects towards the center moving faster than the edges. The map of the Star Wars galaxy is very cool but would only be true for 10s of millions of years. Timeframes could be my misunderstanding here. Would love to hear from someone infinitely more educated on Star Wars than me.

    I always thought it was funny making the core the center of galactic civilization/species given that it would be impossible for life to evolve or survive for long due to the immense radiation and frequent supernovas wiping out any life before it could get complex. Then again Twi'leks have breasts. *Disbelief re-suspended*
