- After a lot of waiting here's an original song!
Thanks 2 everyone for being so patient with me lol. I wrote this last year in the fall but haven't quite worked up the courage to share it till now. I think I just had to come to terms with the fact that it will not be perfect. I may put it on Spotify/apple music at some point soon, but first I need to edit the sound and mix it better (especially because of my silly little computer fan that you can hear the whole time).
I wrote this song when I was sad and noticed that what was happening in nature reflected the way I was feeling. I could probably talk more on this at some point but yeah! That's where the song came from. I wrote it in about a day or two.

11/10 for original content. Some thoughts:
-Volumes were a bit weird, idk if it's the mixing or the equalizing or whatever. It's kinda sad as when you go softer on your voice it gets completely covered by the backing track. Nothing unfixable tho, and the song still came through pretty well
-Stop smiling that much, I can't afford falling in love with a stranger on the other side of the world
-Feeling sad at the start of autumn is just the best thing. It's like this season is meant for living out your sadness. Firstly because you can really see yourself reflected in the new calm atmoshpere, secondly (and most importantly) you can only feel warm when it starts to get cold! Nothing like comforting yourself with a hot cup of tea and a warm blanket
-I'm really glad you managed to publish something original. I can bet it wasn't easy to feel this exposed. I really hope this gives you the courage to do it more often, I'm really looking forward to the next one!

Not sure how I happened across this, but I love it. Maybe (living in Texas) I'm just eager for the cooler days ahead, but something about the song, the lyrics, and the visual of the warm room light plus darkness out the window strikes a certain chord. Beyond that, I love the (as mentioned in prestock's comment) the bossa nova feel to the music, mixed with the somewhat modern chanson lyrical style. Super looking forward to whatever comes next.
