Here is my FOURTH original song of this channel! yet another song about growing up or whateva. Listen they just keep coming to me at this point in my life.
I wrote this in about an hour and a half one night (I find the songs I like the best I write in less than a day because I don't overthink the lyrics). I wrote this coming from being in the weird back-to-school season when I’m not going back to school for the first time since I was like 5. I could take each lyric apart and explain what I'm kind of referring to there but I think I’ll let the lyrics speak for themselves, and you can interpret what you want from them. They have their own specific meaning to me and I’m sure it’ll be a little different for everyone.
I don’t think you have to be in high school, or university, or "young" to come of age. It's never too late for anything, and you can grow and change and learn no matter when.
Anyway I hope you like this. I was so touched by people putting their own personal experiences in the comment section of my 202020 original song. It makes me feel a little less alone in my experiences and also less nervous putting slightly more personal songs out. Thanks for the support :)

I've been out of school for like 2 years now, and I still find myself thinking back to those memories of always logging on to the live classroom or going to a physical brick and mortar school. It's bittersweet leaving something behind that we've grown accustomed to our whole lives, and while I know not everyone will feel the same about school, this feeling still applies to anything you have an attachment to. It's jarring to see how sudden time moves on as we grow older and hopefully wiser; constantly changing and experiencing change...
Although, as time moves on it becomes easier for us to live our new lives and explore the new opportunities that wait for us. I hope we can all look back at the memories and friends we've made with fondness as we cross over into this next chapter of our lives.

Watching old friends and classmates pass by through a telescope as they're so far away... This song reminds about the past 2 1/2 years which were a time of rapid change, really a time of growin up for me. I turned 18 this year but feel like i left my childhood when i just turned 16. Sometimes its really hard to just keep pushing, to fight for my dreams but i always remind myself that the process is just as im important as the goal itself. Growing up for me not only stands for literaly growing up but more so for developing yourself and becoming wiser with your experience.
I adore your originals the most. There are no songs that I know of which resonate so much with me like yours.

This is a question that I don’t know how to explain but, when singing. Do you use your talking voice for singing but in a singing way? Like the same pitch as when you talk if that makes sense or is your singing voice meant to be totally different? Like s different way/pitch if this makes sense it’s really hard to explain!
