Then make sure your elected leaders ensure access to affordable mental care, don't slash the budgets. Make sure gun safety laws are passed so we have the potential for less mass shootings. It isn't about adding more guns, we need to make sure that people who show these red flags or seem mentally unwell or compromised get the treatment and care they deserve over an easy access weapon.

It's also entirely possible that the woman had a recent injury or surgery and normally isn't in a wheelchair. Maybe the other woman wasn't used to her being partially immobilized so subconsciously her first instinct was to just run and the woman would be able to do the same. But it could have gone the other way and she thought "F this. We're way too close to the shooter and I'm in front of the wheelchair." People just do what they do when they are part of a stressful event like this and unfortunately sometimes face an undesired outcome after the fact. Luckily it ended up being the best case scenario given the circumstances.

He did well, but technically (now don’t get upset), he could have responded better. Most law enforcement agencies teach their officers to find cover when gunshots occur. A better tactical response would have been for him to immediately close the distance between himself and the shooter and engage/neutralize the shooter first instead of looking for cover & concealment before engaging. Speed to engage an attacker is the best defensive weapon for stopping a threat if one has the skill set/tools to do so.

A police officer was spot on, fired a shot at the assailant and stood his ground by guarding at his spot & slowly dispersing the ppl around him. He has done his job in a brave & admirable way. His colleagues are no less as well. The grp of officers never at any point turn or back off, they march forward to lend their hands towards the capture of the assailant in good faith of each other's trust. That's the way I see it.
