‘America’s Test Kitchen’ Food Stylist Elle Simone Scott brings “Food Gifts” cookbook tour to Detroit

Renowned chef and food stylist Elle Simone Scott, the executive editor of PBS’ “America’s Test Kitchen,” has released a new cookbook, “Food Gifts: 150+ Irresistible Recipes for Crafting Personalized Presents,” and she’s bringing it on tour to Detroit.
Scott, a Detroit native, joins Detroit Free Press Food Critic Lyndsay Green at the Detroit Food Commons on June 6 for a book talk and signing.
One Detroit’s Jonathan Shead talks with Scott about the inspiration behind her new cookbook, access to healthy foods, how food brings people and communities together, and the support she provides to other women in the culinary arts through the mentoring organization SheChef.
