Two quick questions.....are you mostly shooting in RAW or JPEG formats, and do you ever just hit the AUTO TONE button to begin your editing process? Inquiring minds want to know! :) HG from Chicago
Great questions. I shoot in both RAW and JPEG. I have RAW to one card and JPEG to another. Which one I use depends on the intended outcome. For quick posts to social, knowing they won't go in to my portfolio, I'll often use jpeg. For those shots I think will last, I will do a full edit on the RAW file. I sometimes just hit the Auto button, more to see how LR would edit it. I often don't accept it, but instead make my own edits having been informed some by the auto choices. I can spend anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours processing an image, it all depends.
