I think WuWa has great powercreep so far I wanted almost every character they released which is something HSR didn't achieve. Mainly because I know ok they will stay strong for a while and it's safe to go for copies.
Me and chain actually were talking about that actually :D compared to hoyo games it REALLY hard to skip a char in WuWa. Currently I have no issues with the power creep in WuWa they seem to primarily be doing the diagonal kind. Thank you so much for commenting btw!
Even if you get powercreep a lot of the sequences make them so strong it won’t matter bc you can clear everything anyways. Most sub dps/main dps S2-S3 are extremely strong. S6… yea never have to worry about not being able to clear with them. For me S0 R1 is more than enough. Don’t want to make the game too easy or else I get bored. If by chance one my characters do have trouble clearing in the future I can always purchase up to 2 copies from the shop.
20:41 leap chips?!! omg! (never played PGR so i hear this for the first time). this is like the best concept i ever heard of! HSR needs this so so so so so badly. of all the gachas i play, HSR is rly the only one where powercreep is jarring and makes the game genuinely less fun to play. it is also dawning on me now why arknights introduced the module system and why surtr doesn't have a module lol
this was an unexpected find as well as a good discussion. I would like to add that meta and powercreep in wuwa can be totally ignored if you have sufficient skill as a player. there's a reason why some players can clear current ToA 2.0 middle tower using characters like Calcharo and LingYang
Great discussion, yall. Never got too deep into card games, so I hadn't considered how similar they were to gachas, so that was fun to learn. The difficulty slider idea for wuwa is interesting, but given that the game profits off of characters/weapons and the power locked behind multiple copies of them, I can't help but fear that theyll design characters around the highest difficulty instead of the normal one to satisfy those that spend the most.
@@RansaMPratyaya that’s a fair concern but you can also buy sequences in the shop and they still don’t push them :0 I’m confident Kuro will keep things consumer friendly! Also thank you so much for watching and commenting!!!
I cant find much to agree with monetization of power creep is scummy Despite the words it was breath of the wild not divinity that they took it from which is a Nintendo Japanese property
The overall gameplay and vibe was taken from Nintendo yes, but the elemental reaction system was inspired from divinity :) a game can be inspired by multiple outlets. In fact mixing and matching things from different sources is often how we come up with something new :) Also monetizing power creep is done all the time in these type of games. Card games are again the best example. Gachas are abit less aggressive in this however as they are single player games and you can control how necessary it is to actually involve yourself in said power creep. However like we said in the video power creep in any long term live service game is inevitable and unavoidable. Thank you for the comment btw :)
@TsunarKelone No really, your guys conversation is very interesting to hear and I got to learn what does powercreep and a character getting powercrept really means. Thanks man.
That makes me so happy to hear thank you so much! But really thank you so much for watching and commenting it’s really encouraging and I wanna do more educational WuWa content like this.
