I’m an ex jw, now a born again Christian. Thank you for taking the time to learn about the jw organization and witnessing to them. I wish someone would’ve witnessed to me like that for the years I was in that false organization. @@Volgdewaarheid hello! I was a deacon so I had to do a bit more studying than the normal jw since I was constantly giving sermons. I wanted to be sure what I was teaching was biblically accurate but the more I wanted to be consistent with the Bible the more I found inconsistencies in my jw beliefs. Ultimately God opened my eyes with scriptures like Colossians 1:15-20 (I read the Greek interlinear on the jw app and the word “other” wasn’t there) and Hebrews 1:8-12 that demonstrated the Deity of Christ. Once that happened everything else fell into place.

Btw I have a greek interlinear in book form of the JW society. It shows the word other is inserted in Col 1. But I think they changed the one at the JW site and removed the word other now. @1nemind Jehovah Witnesses has a training book titled “Reasoning From the Scriptures” that they use to explain their positions when encountering objections to their beliefs or doctrines. In their training book you’ll see the common objections they face and see how they are to respond. I think it’s worth getting a copy, i think it will benefit you greatly as you engage with them. Sarah: well that's not exactly what's going on here. I know, because I was a member, a pioneer and a minister in the JW church for many years. These girls belong to a church with an extremely rigid episcopal hierarchy, even more so than Rome. They patiently let Hossein challenge them, defended their position (albeit poorly), and finally dismissed him because he was really there to argue and debate. When I was a pioneer I relished "calls" like this, but frankly most people in most churches, including these girls in the JWs, are neither trained theologians nor exegetes and feel inadequate and a bit annoyed by a guy like him. It would be like an Evangelical "by faith alone" street preacher being constantly challenged by Roman Catholics with "faith without works is dead" passages. Eventually he would tire of it once he realized they weren't going to change and were only being re-active to his presence. I would've gotten Hossein's address and got lots of my monthly time in (100 hours back in the day), doing back calls over and over with him debating and discussing in the warmth of his kitchen or study. I did this many times with Pastors, priests, ministers and Mormon missionaries. They usually eventually got sick of me and terminated the vists.

I asked 3 of them why Psalm 102 v25 and onwards, says about Jehovah "in the beginning You laid the foundations of the earth (etc)", then in Hebrews 1 it says the same exact wording, but "of the Son". Two couldn't answer and the third said "Well that's agency for you".
I am an ex-Jw I left 5 years ago now. You did a really good job, but remember Jehovah’s witnesses are taught that they have “The truth” therefore they are not interested in someone teaching them anything, because they believe they are the only ones that can teach, as everyone else has it wrong. To be honest I thought that lady was quite rude, but you can see her arrogance showing through. This is how you are taught. Not to debate. They are only interested in “sheeplike” personalities, meaning people that don’t know their Bible. They say they love talking to people who love the Bible, but really they don’t, they much prefer to talk to someone who hasn’t a clue. Just on another point I’m not sure if those two ladies that were standing to the side were witnesses waiting to take over the cart. Interestingly the Watchtower made a recent announcement that sisters can now wear slacks in the ministry and at meetings!! You see the lady to the far right has pants on. So after 70+ years of being told it’s wrong to wear pants if you are a woman to meeting, that men must wear a tie and cannot have a beard, they just said it’s okay!! It’s utterly crazy.

The man told me he had never felt the Holy Spirit in all his 46 years of being in the "TRUTH".......we talked about Paul, and I know this man was Questioning his MINDSET......the young woman looked interested that HE could actually listen and question me.....rather than just witness off his brochure!! He said to me......we are going to talk again!! I feel a mixture of sadness and anger for the people blinded by the cult that is the Jehovah Witnesses. Only God can soften their hearts and allow them to see the truth. God is doing an amazing job in you planting the seeds in them and I’ll pray the Lord will give the Increase.
Whom should we worship? For at least 20 years the official JW translation of of their "bible" rendered Hebrews 1:6 this way: "But when he again brings his First-born into the inhabited earth, he says: 'And let all God's angels worship him." From the very beginning of the JW cult in the 1870s, the King James version of this passage was uncritically read and for over 100 years it was commonly taught that worship of Jesus was acceptable. This changed at some point after the 1970 NWT revision when it was changed to the arcane rendering "do obeisance" so as to correspond to their altered doctrine. Would anyone in their right mind place their trust and their eternal future in an organization that is not even clear on who is deserving of worship???

I have taught them how to do that.But I have also helped them in learning to depend on the Spirit of God to guide them. Each person is different. Some need a little more guidance than others. What God is looking for is people who are willing to share. He will make a way for them to learn what they need to. Part of the Great Commission is teaching new believers to observe all that Christ has commanded of us. Part of what he has commanded is to teach those believers that they are to continue to share the gospel as it was shared with them. Obviously, that should be an automatic assumption. But we are still to teach & encourage it & do what we must to equip them, by little or much effort, whatever is required.

I disagree. The trinity was made up because people can not perceive how to understand. (Violently might add. Just look up the history) You're trying to lump 2 separate beings (one eternal and one that had a beginning) & turn God's active force into a being, which it is not, 3 in one. God created everything including the angels in the heavens & Jesus was there at the beginning and very well had a hand in creation with God's active force. You skip around and therefore lose context. A sentence does not a story make. You have to read the whole book of the Bible to gain context. Some sentences or verses are I catching and like the imperfect creatures we are, we assume. Unless you are fluid in old Greek, you'll miss it. I'm bilingual and word for word translations don't always convey the same meaning of the original author/speaker.

Jesus is not God. For Thomas to call Jesus God, knowing fully that God is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, invisible etc. is misunderstanding his intention. The story of Joseph in the Old Testament points to who Jesus is in relation to God the Father. Gen 41:39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.” Joseph became caretaker with the power of a Pharaoh. 1 Cor 15:24 "Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For he “has put everything under his feet.”[c] Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28 When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all". Jesus, clearly, temporarily reign with the power of God (Col 1:19/fulness). But after everything is said and done, his reign ends and will be under (subjected) God. Does that sound Jesus is equal to the Father to you? Jesus like Joseph is a caretaker (of creation), once job is complete, reigns end!!! Jesus is not God but represent God and appointed to reign. Mat 28:18“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. That means Jesus is not inherently God but appointed. To give a God authority is pure absurdity. Read the bible not just portion. This is authoritative because it speak of conclusion to this creation. In the end of all things Jesus is subjected (put under) to the only true and one God (John 17:3/1 Cor 8:5).

Well, what they don't know is that in Revelation it says that the one throne in heaven is called THE THRONE OF GOD AND THE LAMB. Moreover, who else apart from God receives glory and worship from all of creation apart from God when YAHWEH clearly says he shares his glory with no one.

If you give them a dozen verses they say "Oh we're jumping around a lot here" and imply that you're cherry-picking. You can't provide any evidence that will satisfy them. When he explains Rev 5 you can clearly see both of the are worshipped but the attention is on the lamb!!! They forget the Bible says “he was slain before the foundation of the world” so God already in eternity past this was already done. Hi brother blessings, I have commented on the video about rapture and tribulation, but I will post here again, I have a question and let me know what your thoughts are on this; In the book of Revelation chapters 6, 7 and 20, John sees 3 sets (groups) of those who were slain, persecuted, and martyred for the WORD of GOD. Revelation 6:9-11 - slain for the WORD of GOD Revelation 7:9-14 - came out of the great tribulation Revelation 20:4 - beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the WORD of GOD. They did not worship the beast not his image, neither did they receive his mark upon their foreheads or on their hands. In these 3 chapters, John sees and describes each situation differently, and they appear at different times. Could they be parallel? If not what does this mean for the believers/saints? Will the believers come out of “the great tribulation” meaning still will go through some of the great tribulation? What are your thoughts? I have also shared this Bible study note on my channel.

This may have been your point but I also love how Revelation 5:13 says every CREATURE. If Christ was created, he would have been grouped with those creatures or it would have said every other creature. (Creature obviously meaning created thing)

In Revelation 5, the worship described is directed towards both God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Lamb. The chapter depicts a scene in heaven where John witnesses a vision of a scroll sealed with seven seals. No one in heaven or on earth is found worthy to open the scroll or look into it, causing John to weep. However, one of the elders tells John that the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed and is worthy to open the scroll. John then sees a Lamb, standing as though it had been slain, taking the scroll from the right hand of Him who sits on the throne.The chapter concludes with the four living creatures saying, "Amen!" and the elders falling down and worshipping.Thus, in Revelation 5, worship is offered to both God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Lamb.
Are you sure? After saying "Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever", THEN they worship.. which shows worship is an act further than giving honor and glory... But the question is, who do they worship? It doesn't say both, but every other account I can see where the object of worship is identified is always 'God' alone. Not the lamb. (Rev4:9,14:7, 15:4) and when John attempts to worship the angel, both time he is told "worship God". Rev19:10,22:9 Which makes sense as, even in his glorified state, Jesus still has a God above him rev1:1,1:6.

When people operate under a different spirit, it’s really hard to get through to them with logic and reason (scholarly translations). We have to pray for them daily and hope that The Holy Spirit can reveal the truth and show them they are being deceived. Thank you for doing what you’re doing.
I'm an xJW also. The Arian position is clear and simple. Christ is a special case. As the Image of God He receives special honor and glory, including sometimes having OT passages that reference the LORD God (Jehovah) applied to himself. He is above the Holy Angels who in many OT passages are often referred to as Jehovah when sent as His Messengers. 3 examples of this are when the 3 angels appeared to Abraham at Mamre, when the Angel of Yahweh spoke to Moses in Exodus, and when the Angel of the LORD called the boy Samuel when he was dedicated to Jehovah at the Tabernacle. And there are many others. The specific worship passage of Revelation 5 are just as easily understood as referring to the worship of both persons in congruence to, and relative for their individual station. Again, Christ is a special case, a special being in the Hebrew/Christian pantheon as outlined in John 1 and Hebrews 1. If the reader of 1 Cor 15 would remove their theological spectacles, Trinitarian, Adoptionist, or otherwise, and just let the text flow freely through their mind without bias, the inescapable picture painted by Paul as he draws from Ps 110, is that the Lord Jehovah is the Father and the Lord Adonai is the Son and that the Son in the heavenlies, in the ages to come, is neither co-eternal nor especially not co-equal to the Father. Ya I don't know where you get that Jesus isn't co equal with the Father. I'm also guessing you think he isnt God either which he is. John 8:58-Exodus 3:14. God is truine 1 in Essence 1 being 3 persons all co equal. With Holy Spirit inside believers its easy to understand. The fact that a prayer isn’t even recognized or received without the seal of Christs name should speak volumes in this context. We do not get to Worship the father without including Christ at the same time.
Matthew 4:10 in the Bible states, "Then Jesus said to him, 'Be gone, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve'". the Greek word worship is Proskuneo which is an act of bowing down to a king or to Jesus who is a king, and second is the word "serve" which means in Greek the word "Latreau" which is the ultimate form of worship given only to Jehovah God not Jesus you will find no scripture in the Bible that says that Jesus receives this Greek word "serve" anywhere. Notice also the word "Him only" it doesn't say You must worship "Us" by Jesus was very careful to say him speaking about his father Jehovah God. So this is irrefutable proof that this video is in complete error in deceiving by omission, I noticed he's throwning around a bunch of scriptures but not explaining what these scriptures mean using scriptures out of context. Where does see how honesty is if you answer the question about "serve" and the word "him only" remember Jesus did not say worship us but worship him only many blessings to those who can see what the bible really teaches
Wow, agreed ... As I really don't know what the author of this video is doing here. I mean, he obviously quotes from one of Christendom's Bibles produced by biased Trinitarians of course. Which they naturally seize upon every opportunity to render the Greek "proskuneo" in its highest sense whenever it's applied to Christ as though that's suppose to make it an accurate translation in doing so. Then strangely at Rev. 5:14, he quotes a version that follows the old Douey-Rheims/KJV reading from the TR. Which adds the words "... **him** that lives forever and ever" after the word "worshipped" (proskuneo). And tries to apply it back to both God the Father as the one seated on the throne at Rev. 4:10 and also Jesus Christ at Rev 1:18. But that reading clearly uses the singular pronoun "him" NOT the plural "them." So can't apply to both places. But most certainly to only the Father at Rev. 4:10 as the same one seated on the throne next in chap. 5.
What do you then do with Jesus being called the everlasting Father ? What do you do with Jesus saying He had glory with the Father before the world was . But then God says He won’t share His glory with another . Jesus must not be another . They are one as Jesus said .

Strictly speaking except for one or two cases the word used to describe His origin is "begotten"......and the otherwise strange epithet "only begotten". And it was acceptable to both side of the Arian debate, each giving their preferred interpretation of the phrase,. The Arian belief is that Christ is a special being unlike any other, intermediate between God and Creation. Hence, he is "the only begotten Son" or "only begotten God". Let me stress: ONLY! NO ONE ELSE! ONLY CHRIST! the rest of creation came by Christ. So Christ is a special case, a special personage; worthy of praise. Not only did He create us and the the rest of the universe, but he also saved us and reconciled the universe to God,. His being praised does not make Him equal to the Father, any more than being a judge or a saviour or a father did with the OT saints. So, I guess it is kind of simple after all. They did " want you gone " . They don't like to be biblically challenged... I have met this feeling many times in discussion with Jehovah's Witnesses. Anyone who dooes not agree with Watchtower indoctrination is wrong. I have found no biblical scholars amongst Jehovah's Witnesses ( including their governing body). Should have small note cards made up with extra chapter and verse numbers to show whatever point you are trying to make, so you can hand it to them for their reference if they don’t want to give you enough time. But, they need to place their scriptures against the original languages. Should ask them what scriptures should we stand firm on, the original text? Or the many translated versions?
With a trinitarian you have to really break down there thinking. Before speaking with them 1. Ask them to define God. Is it the father, son and HS combined? 2. Next time you talk to any J. Whiteness, ask them about Isiah: 40-5, 10. Are they expecting 2 comings from 2 different beings? One coming of Jehovah and another of Jesus? - I would like to see how they respond to that, since from this passage is clear that the one that is coming is Jesus, because He is GOD.

I just wanna share you guys. In my bible KJV for example 2 Samuel 1:2 it uses the word "obeisance" and when you go to the new testament in the time of Jesus it will use the word "worshipped" My point is the bible knows the difference between the word obeisance and worship and knows when to use it.

Hey man, I totally find what you're doing encouraging and exciting. You absolutely have much more experience with this than I, so there would probably be a reason why you might not take this approach I'm going to suggest. Simply, I'd say if you did everything in reverse, it might seem more genuine/ effective. I'd open with an introduction, say who you are and your fascination or curiosity with their faith, and some areas you struggle to reconcile theologically. The mystery and reveal seemed like a "gotchya" or hoodwinked moment which would personally put me on guard from the get-go. Even the woman asking "where is this leading?" a few times makes the encounter very uninviting. Nevertheless, I appreciate you having these conversations and it's easier said than done, but socially, I think this might be an approach that helps keep people's guard up.

Your patience is so inspiring. I’m 4 months of “study” in with two JWs who keep coming back despite receiving the Gospel each time they’re here. I pray the Lord will allow His seeds to take root in their hearts. But they simply persist in “well, we see it our way,” and that’s that.

It is my understanding that JWs teach that the Father created Jesus, and then Jesus created everything else. Rev 4:11 in their Bible, her favorite verse, claims Jehovah created all things.

@@Volgdewaarheid hello! I was a deacon so I had to do a bit more studying than the normal jw since I was constantly giving sermons. I wanted to be sure what I was teaching was biblically accurate but the more I wanted to be consistent with the Bible the more I found inconsistencies in my jw beliefs.
Ultimately God opened my eyes with scriptures like Colossians 1:15-20 (I read the Greek interlinear on the jw app and the word “other” wasn’t there)
and Hebrews 1:8-12 that demonstrated the Deity of Christ. Once that happened everything else fell into place.

Btw I have a greek interlinear in book form of the JW society. It shows the word other is inserted in Col 1. But I think they changed the one at the JW site and removed the word other now. Jehovah Witnesses has a training book titled “Reasoning From the Scriptures” that they use to explain their positions when encountering objections to their beliefs or doctrines. In their training book you’ll see the common objections they face and see how they are to respond. I think it’s worth getting a copy, i think it will benefit you greatly as you engage with them. Sarah: well that's not exactly what's going on here. I know, because I was a member, a pioneer and a minister in the JW church for many years. These girls belong to a church with an extremely rigid episcopal hierarchy, even more so than Rome. They patiently let Hossein challenge them, defended their position (albeit poorly), and finally dismissed him because he was really there to argue and debate. When I was a pioneer I relished "calls" like this, but frankly most people in most churches, including these girls in the JWs, are neither trained theologians nor exegetes and feel inadequate and a bit annoyed by a guy like him. It would be like an Evangelical "by faith alone" street preacher being constantly challenged by Roman Catholics with "faith without works is dead" passages. Eventually he would tire of it once he realized they weren't going to change and were only being re-active to his presence.
I would've gotten Hossein's address and got lots of my monthly time in (100 hours back in the day), doing back calls over and over with him debating and discussing in the warmth of his kitchen or study. I did this many times with Pastors, priests, ministers and Mormon missionaries. They usually eventually got sick of me and terminated the vists.

I asked 3 of them why Psalm 102 v25 and onwards, says about Jehovah "in the beginning You laid the foundations of the earth (etc)", then in Hebrews 1 it says the same exact wording, but "of the Son". Two couldn't answer and the third said "Well that's agency for you".

I am an ex-Jw I left 5 years ago now. You did a really good job, but remember Jehovah’s witnesses are taught that they have “The truth” therefore they are not interested in someone teaching them anything, because they believe they are the only ones that can teach, as everyone else has it wrong. To be honest I thought that lady was quite rude, but you can see her arrogance showing through. This is how you are taught. Not to debate. They are only interested in “sheeplike” personalities, meaning people that don’t know their Bible. They say they love talking to people who love the Bible, but really they don’t, they much prefer to talk to someone who hasn’t a clue. Just on another point I’m not sure if those two ladies that were standing to the side were witnesses waiting to take over the cart. Interestingly the Watchtower made a recent announcement that sisters can now wear slacks in the ministry and at meetings!! You see the lady to the far right has pants on. So after 70+ years of being told it’s wrong to wear pants if you are a woman to meeting, that men must wear a tie and cannot have a beard, they just said it’s okay!! It’s utterly crazy.

Whom should we worship? For at least 20 years the official JW translation of of their "bible" rendered Hebrews 1:6 this way:
"But when he again brings his First-born into the inhabited earth, he says: 'And let all God's angels worship him."
From the very beginning of the JW cult in the 1870s, the King James version of this passage was uncritically read and for over 100 years it was commonly taught that worship of Jesus was acceptable. Would anyone in their right mind place their trust and their eternal future in an organization that is not even clear on who is deserving of worship???

No one taught me how to. God did it through the Bible. I didn’t need anyone to help me or tell me what to say. God gets the glory for it, not man.

What God is looking for is people who are willing to share. He will make a way for them to learn what they need to.
Part of the Great Commission is teaching new believers to observe all that Christ has commanded of us. Part of what he has commanded is to teach those believers that they are to continue to share the gospel as it was shared with them. Obviously, that should be an automatic assumption. But we are still to teach & encourage it & do what we must to equip them, by little or much effort, whatever is required.

I disagree. The trinity was made up because people can not perceive how to understand. (Violently might add. Just look up the history) You're trying to lump 2 separate beings (one eternal and one that had a beginning) & turn God's active force into a being, which it is not, 3 in one. God created everything including the angels in the heavens & Jesus was there at the beginning and very well had a hand in creation with God's active force. You skip around and therefore lose context. A sentence does not a story make. You have to read the whole book of the Bible to gain context. Some sentences or verses are I catching and like the imperfect creatures we are, we assume. Unless you are fluid in old Greek, you'll miss it. I'm bilingual and word for word translations don't always convey the same meaning of the original author/speaker.

We don’t honor people like we honor God, that would be idolatry. Honor the Son just as you honor the Father. We honor our father and mother the same, so to do we honor the Father and the Son the same according to scripture, and we receive eternal life.

Well, what they don't know is that in Revelation it says that the one throne in heaven is called THE THRONE OF GOD AND THE LAMB. Moreover, who else apart from God receives glory and worship from all of creation apart from God when YAHWEH clearly says he shares his glory with no one.
Pacifist Joe: "The throne of God and the Lamb". You interpret this to mean that the Lamb and God are equal in stature and nature. This is a perfect example of interpreting a text with pre-fixed Trinitarian spectacles firmly in place. And it causes you to ignore context.
The throne of God is a theme in Scripture, which first century Jews and Christians would immediately recognize. They would remember that Christ the Lamb is the rightful heir to the Davidic/Solomonic Dynasty. And that those kings also shared the Throne of Jehovah. Please read 1 Chronicles 28:5 & 29:23 to corroborate.
St John himself and his initial audience in the 7 Churches would interpret this passage in the light of Scripture. And I assure they did not think Solomon and David were also Yahweh Elohim. They were stuarts only; with The Lamb as the ultimate David, the Ultimate Stuart of Jehovah's Throne.
For those of us who don't believe in the doctrine of the Holy Trinity it is utterly and painfully obvious to us when we observe those who do jump to an unwarranted Trinitarian interpretation.

For example, Isaiah 9:6 and we read there that Jesus is the Mighty God (in Hebrew "El Gibbor").
The same term "El Gibbor" is used in relation to God Isaiah 10:21. So if Jesus is ""El Gibbor"" and God is "El Gibbor" then it means that Jesus is God, right?
The difference between us is that I don't stop reading the Bible text just because it confirmed my thesis, e.g. Jesus is God. Look at this: Ezekiel 32:21 (KJV)
_“The strong among _*_the mighty (used "El Gibbor" in the plural)_*_ shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.”_
These words God speaks about the Assyrian warriors. It becomes clear that the title/term "El Gibbor" has nothing to do with divinity. It is simply a description of someone who has power. That is why you always think you are right, because you are only looking for confirmation of your thesis. And this is where your search ends. To paraphrase your words _"Just don't stop"_

They forget the Bible says “he was slain before the foundation of the world” so God already in eternity past this was already done. I questioned my friend who's a JW about the arch Angel thing asked her to show me scripture which supports the claim and she couldn't and just said she will explain the next time I see her if we do bible study...it is like things they don't agree with or aren't their teachings they dismiss immediately...I said about this channel she tried saying he was an apostate or something like that some one who like purposely tries to turn Jw witness away from God...
Hi brother blessings, I have commented on the video about rapture and tribulation, but I will post here again, I have a question and let me know what your thoughts are on this;
In the book of Revelation chapters 6, 7 and 20, John sees 3 sets (groups) of those who were slain, persecuted, and martyred for the WORD of GOD.
Revelation 6:9-11 - slain for the WORD of GOD
Revelation 7:9-14 - came out of the great tribulation
Revelation 20:4 - beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the WORD of GOD. They did not worship the beast not his image, neither did they receive his mark upon their foreheads or on their hands.
In these 3 chapters, John sees and describes each situation differently, and they appear at different times.
Could they be parallel? If not what does this mean for the believers/saints?
Will the believers come out of “the great tribulation” meaning still will go through some of the great tribulation?
What are your thoughts?

In Revelation 5, the worship described is directed towards both God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Lamb. The chapter depicts a scene in heaven where John witnesses a vision of a scroll sealed with seven seals. No one in heaven or on earth is found worthy to open the scroll or look into it, causing John to weep.

After saying "Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, be the blessing, and the honor, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever", THEN they worship.. which shows worship is an act further than giving honor and glory...
But the question is, who do they worship?
It doesn't say both, but every other account I can see where the object of worship is identified is always 'God' alone. Not the lamb.
(Rev4:9,14:7, 15:4) and when John attempts to worship the angel, both time he is told "worship God". Rev19:10,22:9
Which makes sense as, even in his glorified state, Jesus still has a God above him rev1:1,1:6.

When people operate under a different spirit, it’s really hard to get through to them with logic and reason (scholarly translations). We have to pray for them daily and hope that The Holy Spirit can reveal the truth and show them they are being deceived. Thank you for doing what you’re doing.
I'm an xJW also. The Arian position is clear and simple. Christ is a special case. As the Image of God He receives special honor and glory, including sometimes having OT passages that reference the LORD God (Jehovah) applied to himself. He is above the Holy Angels who in many OT passages are often referred to as Jehovah when sent as His Messengers. 3 examples of this are when the 3 angels appeared to Abraham at Mamre, when the Angel of Yahweh spoke to Moses in Exodus, and when the Angel of the LORD called the boy Samuel when he was dedicated to Jehovah at the Tabernacle. And there are many others.
The specific worship passage of Revelation 5 are just as easily understood as referring to the worship of both persons in congruence to, and relative for their individual station. Again, Christ is a special case, a special being in the Hebrew/Christian pantheon as outlined in John 1 and Hebrews 1.
If the reader of 1 Cor 15 would remove their theological spectacles, Trinitarian, Adoptionist, or otherwise, and just let the text flow freely through their mind without bias, the inescapable picture painted by Paul as he draws from Ps 110, is that the Lord Jehovah is the Father and the Lord Adonai is the Son and that the Son in the heavenlies, in the ages to come, is neither co-eternal nor especially not co-equal to the Father. Ya I don't know where you get that Jesus isn't co equal with the Father. I'm also guessing you think he isnt God either which he is. John 8:58-Exodus 3:14. God is truine 1 in Essence 1 being 3 persons all co equal. With Holy Spirit inside believers its easy to understand. Without Holy Spirit the word of God isn't understable and is just another book to read. The Bible is a spiritual book and needs to be read as a Holy spiritual filled book. Jesus is equal to Father. Matthew 4:10 in the Bible states, "Then Jesus said to him, 'Be gone, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve'". the Greek word worship is
Proskuneo which is an act of bowing down to a king or to Jesus who is a king, and second is the word "serve" which means in Greek the word "Latreau" which is the ultimate form of worship given only to Jehovah God not Jesus you will find no scripture in the Bible that says that Jesus receives this Greek word "serve" anywhere. Notice also the word
"Him only" it doesn't say You must worship "Us" by Jesus was very careful to say him speaking about his father Jehovah God. So this is irrefutable proof that this video is in complete error in deceiving by omission, I noticed he's throwning around a bunch of scriptures but not explaining what these scriptures mean using scriptures out of context. Where does see how honesty is if you answer the question about "serve" and the word "him only" remember Jesus did not say worship us but worship him only many blessings to those who can see what the bible really teaches

I mean, he obviously quotes from one of Christendom's Bibles produced by biased Trinitarians of course. Which they naturally seize upon every opportunity to render the Greek "proskuneo" in its highest sense whenever it's applied to Christ as though that's suppose to make it an accurate translation in doing so.
Then strangely at Rev. 5:14, he quotes a version that follows the old Douey-Rheims/KJV reading from the TR. Which adds the words "... **him** that lives forever and ever" after the word "worshipped" (proskuneo).
And tries to apply it back to both God the Father as the one seated on the throne at Rev. 4:10 and also Jesus Christ at Rev
1:18.
But that reading clearly uses the singular pronoun "him" NOT the plural "them." So can't apply to both places. But most certainly to only the Father at Rev. 4:10 as the same one seated on the throne next in chap. 5.
What do you then do with Jesus being called the everlasting Father ?

Sorry, not really so simple. Unfortunately the Witnesses use the word created for the Son. Strictly speaking except for one or two cases the word used to describe His origin is "begotten"......and the otherwise strange epithet "only begotten". The creedal phrase "begotton, not made" is likely very ancient, and precedent to the Nicean formulation. And it was acceptable to both side of the Arian debate, each giving their preferred interpretation of the phrase,. The Arian belief is that Christ is a special being unlike any other, intermediate between God and Creation. Hence, he is "the only begotten Son" or "only begotten God". Let me stress: ONLY! NO ONE ELSE! ONLY CHRIST! the rest of creation came by Christ. So Christ is a special case, a special personage; worthy of praise. Not only did He create us and the the rest of the universe, but he also saved us and reconciled the universe to God,. His being praised does not make Him equal to the Father, any more than being a judge or a saviour or a father did with the OT saints.
So, I guess it is kind of simple after all. Just use a a Biblical word to describe a Biblical idea.

Trying to convince JW's of the Trinity is like trying to convince Judaism believers aka Jews that JESUS is the MESSIAH! Godspeed Brother!
They did " want you gone " . They don't like to be biblically challenged... I have met this feeling many times in discussion with Jehovah's Witnesses. Anyone who dooes not agree with Watchtower indoctrination is wrong. I have found no biblical scholars amongst Jehovah's Witnesses ( including their governing body). To believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is Michael the archangel is blasphemy and shows biblical ignorance . They have the wrong Jesus Christ. You did well and ( hopefully) sowed seeds of truth.
Did you know that back in the 1800s and early 1900s many churches believe that Jesus was Michael the Archangel?
Should have small note cards made up with extra chapter and verse numbers to show whatever point you are trying to make, so you can hand it to them for their reference if they don’t want to give you enough time. But, they need to place their scriptures against the original languages. Should ask them what scriptures should we stand firm on, the original text? Or the many translated versions?
With a trinitarian you have to really break down there thinking. Before speaking with them
1. Ask them to define God. Is it the father, son and HS combined?
2. When ever the word God is mentioned in scripture always ask them. How are you defining God?
3. Isaiah 42:8 says" I am the Lord. That is my name. I will give my glory to another"
I would have asked the gentlemen. Based on your definition of God.(assuming its the father, son and HS)

Next time you talk to any J. Whiteness, ask them about Isiah: 40-5, 10. Are they expecting 2 comings from 2 different beings? One coming of Jehovah and another of Jesus? - I would like to see how they respond to that, since from this passage is clear that the one that is coming is Jesus, because He is GOD.

I just wanna share you guys. In my bible KJV for example 2 Samuel 1:2 it uses the word "obeisance" and when you go to the new testament in the time of Jesus it will use the word "worshipped"
My point is the bible knows the difference between the word obeisance and worship and knows when to use it.

Hey man, I totally find what you're doing encouraging and exciting. You absolutely have much more experience with this than I, so there would probably be a reason why you might not take this approach I'm going to suggest.
Simply, I'd say if you did everything in reverse, it might seem more genuine/ effective. I'd open with an introduction, say who you are and your fascination or curiosity with their faith, and some areas you struggle to reconcile theologically. The mystery and reveal seemed like a "gotchya" or hoodwinked moment which would personally put me on guard from the get-go. Even the woman asking "where is this leading?" a few times makes the encounter very uninviting.
Nevertheless, I appreciate you having these conversations and it's easier said than done, but socially, I think this might be an approach that helps keep people's guard up.

Your patience is so inspiring. I’m 4 months of “study” in with two JWs who keep coming back despite receiving the Gospel each time they’re here. I pray the Lord will allow His seeds to take root in their hearts. But they simply persist in “well, we see it our way,” and that’s that.

In Revelation 5:13 And every CREATURE that is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and those that are on the sea, and all the things in them, I heard saying, "To Him Who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing, and honor, and glory, and sovereignty into the ages of eternity." This verse demonstrates that Jesus is not a creature, because if He were, He would have been included among those giving praise.
Acts 1: 8-9. Just before Jesus Ascended in a cloud going up to heaven, he told those there with him , that when the Holy Ghost shall come upon them, that power will be given them, to be witneses for Jesus ,not Jehovah,also on to the ends of the earth even now. The continuation of the witnessing for Jesus and to Jesus , to the ends of the earth.Jehovah Witnesses ,they are not for Jesus and unto to Jesus.As Jesus said whoever is not with me is against me.
It is my understanding that JWs teach that the Father created Jesus, and then Jesus created everything else. Rev 4:11 in their Bible, her favorite verse, claims Jehovah created all things.
Jehovah created THROUGH Jesus , what that means in detail we don't know but thats how He did it , Jehovah God is the creator hence the terms BY GOD and THROUGH Jesus 1 Cor 8:6 John 1:3 Col 1:15 onwards
