But Beale is correct, Ange is lucky. He is lucky to be manager of one of the best clubs in world football. He so so lucky that he arrived from Asia to a team with the best fans in the world. He is lucky that his breeding, raring, environment and circumstance have lead him to be the first team coach of the Bhoys and that he has been gifted with an acute eye with an ability to find players, a conveyor belt of a succession of the perfect players who fit perfectly. into our squad His brilliance has been influenced by the luck of his own hard work. I just need to figure out how to get tickets for the game now though which is seemingly pretty difficult since i dont speak Korean......
Mooy is truly world class, fck it. I was gonnae run through the team and say how good they were. No, they’re a total class TEAM, all back to the man at the top. He’s created a wonderful environment where everyone can flourish, top team coaches to youth team players. All hail Ange! HH
Aussie/Japanese fans will be over the moon if the Scottish Cup final kicks off @12:30 PM as this means 9:30 PM kick off in Melb/Syd, 8:30 PM in Toyko 😀
I think Sunday was a bit of a line in the sand for Ange to be honest, coming out afterwards saying CCV is done for the remainder, I have a feeling we'll see wholesale changes these last 5 games. Hail Hail big man 🍀
I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw their fans filing out in droves in the 80th minute. FFS, goals get scored at the death all the time. We've won a fair few matches with added time heroics. It's not as though they didn't have chances - TBF, a more ruthless squad would have had 2. That's the difference between us and them, in a nutshell. We never stop. It's not just a platitude. They give up, make excuses, and point fingers. And so do their fans.
Cant wait to see the Bhoys in Japan. Lots of unconfirmed scuttlebutt in the Japanese press at the moment regarding who the opponents will be and how the "tour" will be organised, so its hard to separate rumor from reality. However there seem to be two concepts warring with each other ATM. European interests are pressing for a tournament involving Man City, Real Madrid and PSG, which will no doubt be more attractive to broadcasters but which will not be as interesting for Japanese fans. Domestic interests, on the other hand, are pushing for Celtic to play Marinos and Vissel Kobe, who both have big sponsors, European ties and global ambitions (the former through CityGroup and the latter through Rakuten's sponsorship of Real Madrid). FWIW if you come to Japan and only play European opposition, the local fans will be hugely disappointed. I suspect that there will have to be at least one "Celtic vs European powerhouse" match in order to rope in the broadcasters. However, if Celtic visit the far east and fail to play a J.League and/or K.League opponent, they are going to squander a huge amount of goodwill and publicity.
Lunchtime KO is great for me in Aus. Whats bad about it Hamish? more people in the world get to watch the game = good thing. You get more time at the pub after the victory (good thing). Win Win.

Before the start of the season play Celtic Rangers maybe Hearts at the MCG/Sydney. Promote the competition in the Australian/NZ East Asian market. Fly back, week off then full season starts. Something radical like this could work. 100,000 at MCG would be insane.
I'm Victorian, and the MCG is terrible for football; terrible - Sydney's new stadium is the best we Aussies have got, and true fans can and will travel there.
There is no comparison. Our fans get behind the team to try to spur them on when things are not going well. It is our duty to do our bit. Their "fans" (can you call them fans or even supporters?) expect them to do what they demand otherwise they turn on them or chuck their season tickets in. YES they do do walking away.
The FA Cup final has been moved to 3pm because the Police wouldn't let it go ahead at 5:30. Moving the Scottish Cup final makes sense. We want the biggest audience so why go up against a Manchester derby?
@@iberian5319 that is you and probably most people who regularly go to games. The BBC and Viaplay want the biggest possible audience and they know they won't get that against the Manchester derby. It is a numbers game.
Why the hell do Celtic want to do an Asian tour after the embarrassment of Australia when you played in front of an empty stadium when you played Sydney in Ange's back yard? No one is interested mate. No one will turn up. When you played Everton in the following game down under, the stadium was pretty full. they obviously came to watch Everton not celtic. I did comment about Ange and his quest to not only improve the overall strength of the squad, but to also increase the SIZE of the squad without weakening it. He knows that success also brings more matches, and a large good squad of players is needed, and as we get down to the pointy end of the season we see it in action now. I do think his final objective is a long run in Europe, and getting to the finals and being compete with the likes of Madrid and Barcelona
His publicly stated goal is to get Celtic to a position of European prominence, you're absolutely right. He correctly recognizes that the SPFL is a second tier league, ergo he will not feel that he's done the business until he puts Celtic in a position to compete beyond Scottish frontiers. Obviously, that means he must dominate domestic competition... But that's merely phase one. The end game is, and should be, to make Celtic a club which any club, pundit, or supporter base in Europe would fear. I personally feel that Ajax should be the model, but that's just my amateur opinion. Speculation about his departure this summer is premature. He's not leaving until he brings home silverware, or a deep, respectable UCL run.
Well to be fair, if Ajax can do it then why can't we? Having a degree of success and pushing the boundaries of what a Scottish club can realistically achieve in Europe would be the icing on the cake and Ange's ultimate goal, domestic success is an altogether different animal compared to what we can expect having a better European run than we have had since Martin O'Neill would be a greater measure of success in his tenure as our manager, and given his recent signings which have for the most part been a success, then who knows what we could achieve, but we need to build on what we have achieved so far, bigger & better. HH
@@coyle1888 TBF, Ajax has an advantage which Celtic lacks, largely thanks to Brexit - pan-European access to youth talent for its academy. That club's academy takes a back seat to no one. Realistically, Brexit or no Brexit, ours doesn't measure up. That's an area to improve, IMO. Also, I have no idea what sort of television deal the Dutch league works under. But I have a hard time believing that it isn't far more generous than Scotland's. Hell, the Beautiful Game is considered a second tier sport in the US (although growing with astonishing speed), and the MLS/Apple TV deal is ten times the size per club as Scotland's revenue deal - and that's with a 29 club league. Obviously, a sport market like the US has advantages which Scotland can only dream of. But still... It's the current state of things.
