Tim shouldn’t have yelled at the crowd like that. For all he knows, it could’ve been the boss of the company that he has a job interview at a year from now.
I like that he seemed more aghast that it would take a long time for everyone to be pointed at, rather than the fact that the thing is being pointed at lol.
I think the funniest part about this is that each pointer brother is pointing at (about) 2 people per second. There are 3 of them, meaning 6 people are pointed at per second. 60 seconds in a minute means 360 people are pointed at in one minute. If there are 1,000 people in the “arena”, this act would take a little over 2 and a half minutes. Yet they choose to hinder their progress with indecisiveness, confrontation, and Wagu. It’s beautiful.
I’ve watched this probably 2 dozen times, but I only JUST noticed that Tim starts the show by saying they promise to point at everyone “by the end of the night tonight”. But the lady in the audience says “it’s almost lunch” before the show starts, meaning that this performance is meant to be several hours long.
I had to watch it a couple times to realise that the reason the woman on stage has already been pointed to, thus ruining the pointer brother's chance to demonstrate how to be pointed at....is because that's how they selected her to come on stage haha.
The funniest thing is how everyone, including the Brothers, hate what's going on and could end it instantly but voluntarily capitulate to it as inevitable.
The value of sticking it through can't be understated.. like if you commit to a Blues Brothers skit to save your girlfriend's friend's party, you have to COMMIT
This is one of the funniest Tim robinson sketches i have ever seen; it has me in tears. “Every guy in here who didn’t catch her is a fucking coward!” “Alright folks here we go!”
The fact that the music cuts out when he's yelling at the audience and then it picks right back up when Tim enthusiastically says "Alright folks here we go" slays me every time. I've rewatched that part like 100 times and it makes me laugh every damn time.
I find myself watching this over and over again. Every time I come up with more questions: "How do they pitch themselves to get hired?" "Why does Sharon keep working for them after what Waggoo did?" "Why don't they fire Waggoo?" "How did Waggoo get down so gracefully without any stairs?" "Are they really brothers?" "Is this their first outing? Or are they staples of the Tampa Bay entertainment scene?"
I love that the guy on the right says that they shouldn't point at people twice because it makes the pointing less special, but they introduce Wagoo into the game, whose entire mechanic in the game is to force them to point to people multiple times
the guy who told him they suck had a brilliant strategy. got pointed at by all 3 brothers so it doesn't matter how many times Wagoo touched him. he can leave now
@@whispersemantics Chunky would get jealous that Wagoo was allowed to talk even though the mouth on the thing didn't move and it looked fake. Also, did I hear correctly that the guy in the Wagoo costume is named Paul? So maybe he's the contestant who Chunky hassled, or maybe he has no good car ideas.
I love how they have clearly done this act before (b/c of Waggo and Sharon) yet they still have no idea what they are doing and realize that the crowd is too big 4 minutes into their "performance" and start to fight the audience.
I like how the crew is slightly passive aggressive with each other but openly aggressive towards the audience, especially when he calls out wagoo for possible catching a sexual assault case by touching women.
Just once in my life I'd like to attend a company conference that ends with the hired entertainer screaming "FIGHT ME!!!! NOOOWWWW!!!!!" at the audience.
I love how they start off enthusiastically pointing, then just become lazy and point with no style. Also I can't believe no one lied about being pointed at so they get to go home.
It’s was most likely a song quickly composed just for this show and this skit. If they used an already published song they would have to pay for it which would needlessly increase the production budget. Saving money which could then be used for building more flimsy coffins and the premium salaries for nude extras.
I love how they didn't initially come in with a plan to keep track of who they pointed at. All that pointing at the beginning was practically useless lol
The more I watch this, the more I see it as a metaphor for life. No one, on the stage or in the crowd, is happy to be there. We all agree that everything we spend our time doing is stupid. But they do it anyway, and hate each other more and more the longer it goes on.
So much had to go right for the show of wagu touching everyone to be the funniest thing ever. The puppetry, the camera work, the lighting, the setup, truly a testament to comedy being a team effort
