To hear in the same sentence that “it’s a souls-like” and that “the enemies are uninspired” tells me everything I need to know. You can’t have a good souls game without good enemy AI and variety. What a shame.

The problem with this game is that Fromsoft games exist. You don't drive a Kia when you have a Ferrari in the driveway.
This comment cracked me up. I do think some indie souls like Lies of P and Mortal Shell were REALLY good lower budget Souls games but this way feels cheap.
I’m not saying it to defend this game, I don’t really care about it. But Fromsoft is not the only great developer, there are many that make great games. And in all honesty Fromsoft really needs to branch out, Elden Ring is a great game but they’ve been recycling the same gameplay for over a decade. Sekiro gave me hope that they were gonna start doing some new stuff and experiment a bit, but after Elden Ring’s success they probably won’t.

@@lemming9984 black female leads are just put into so many terrible games that they have become a kind of visual shorthand for bad games. If these people cared, they would look for genuinely good places to have some "diversity" so that when characters saw a black female they would be intrigued rather than immediately disgusted. Unfortunately they can't do this because they reflexively hate white men and believe that black people will literally die unless the color of the pixels of this character matches theirs. (I am black btw). This is an insane attitude that has done far more harm to inclusion and diversity in video games than having ZERO black characters. I'd much rather start from a blank slate than have what we have now.

Just beat it. In the beginning it felt a little janky, But it gets better as your build comes together. Challenging yet satisfying.

Great, another Souls-like game. There's no originality anymore .

I knew this was gonna happen from the initial trailer from xbox. And i played it and heres my thoughts:
The voice acting is 100% MWAH so good. The story so far is intriguing and straight forward and easy to understand. Its bot like crazy but ykw its not bad at all. Id say 7/10.
Gameplay seems really fluid and fun, the blocking and parrys take a but of time to get used to and are less polished than other souls games tbh. But its also not bad tbh. It just feels like the worst of the best souls? So its passing with an A for me.
Graphics are really good in some areas but idk if its the engine or what. But theres so many weird texture bugs, flappy bits like cloth acting super weird. But then theres really pretty sights that look amazing. Idk it feels really unpolished.
Imo i think the game was rushed. Give it a few updates or another year in the oven and id say its a fun sould like hack n slash game.
Personally just play it on game pass. Its not worth 70$ not even 60$ or 50$. But i see a lot of potential

That I was going to buy it anyway, as soon as I heard 'SWEET BABY had got their little grubby hands on it I knew it was doomed, I thought it was going to have silly little side quests in it that actually have nothing to do with the game, Like what they done in spiderman, but it actually looks like a half finished game, the clunkyness the lack of variety of enemies, also how bad the upgrade system is ,all things they SHOULD be updating and fixing, but it's been out for a little while now and there's STILL not! been any updates for it to fix these problems, if they had fixed the issues I was thinking buying it after watching a few reviews'BUT! if they can't be bothered, WHY should I be bothered to waste my money on something they CLEARLY don't give a shit about! it's all about BLACK MYTH WUKONG!!! baby 👶 a real game that's not been molested by a bunch of NO HOPERS! Who obviously knows nothing about gaming apart from how to destroy them!

Most likely in developer hell unfortunately and prob wasted too much money changing directions, then developed too late. Similar to Redfall I guess, but I'm only speculating. We'll see in the future 🤷🏾♂️.

The funniest thing about griftcastguy is that he honestly believes people hate him for no reason, ln that people are just "being haters". this guy knows exactly what he's doing, he's making himself hated for views and revenue. Everytime someone makes a hate video about him that person's audience goes to HIS channel. I don't believe this guy is a bad guy irl, I just think he's destroying his reputation on purpose to keep the lights on.. the problem with that is he's the boy who cried wolf and the moment he wants to make a legitimate claim or try to prove himself in a public arena he's gunna be met with the same avarice as every other video. Honestly l'm tired of theses souls like genre why is no one making a hack and slash games for example DMC 1 to 5 space marine, God war 1- 3 bayonetta 1-3. Don't get me wrong i like dark souls and revenant of the ash, exc but it's getting to stage now where getting boring that.
