  • We start our Triana Seville Neigborhood tour with something new. We take a Seguay tour? This is something we see all the time but never thought we'd try, but when TopSegway tours offered a free tour to us, we decided to give it a shot. It was much more fun than we thought it would be! If you want to try check them out at topsegway.es/
Next we make our way to the Triana neighborhood of Seville. An area famous for it's sailors, flamenco dancers and bullfighters.
We start at the Puente Isabel II bridge, also known as the Triana bridge, crossing the río Guadalquivir to reach the lively working-class neighborhood of Triana.
Right as you cross the bridge, you immediately see some of the most popular spots to visit in Triana, the Capilla Del Carmen, a chapel dedicated to the patron saint of sailors.
Next is the Triana Market (Mercado de Triana) , smaller than many markets we've seen throughout Spain, but with a really interesting history. It was built on the former site of the headquarters of the Spanish Inquisition.
Next we wander the streets of Triana looking for some delicious spanish food for lunch. Our first stop had some issues so we made our way to La Cinta Tapas & Copas for a quick bite and a beer.
Next we stroll the picturesque Calle Betis that runs along with rio Guadalquivir river all the way to the armillary sphere monument commemorating the spot where Ferdinand Magellan departed for the first circumnavigation of the globe.

Hi Sue! Weather was not so bad, especially compared to where you are. Seville is such a lovely place, even with Geoff messing it up by eating less pretty than I had hoped.

Stayed on the Guadlaquivir canal directly opposite Triana, living on a bench. In the nighttime, Triana comes alive, with the rumberos flamecnas signing their songs a playing extraordinarily fantastic flamenco brought back by the sailors. I used to hang out at El Tabanco, in Seville centre, 4 free flamenco shows every week, with a different troop performing, highly recommend.

Wardrobe choices I didn't even consider, but now that you mention it, it's appropriate isn't it?

We loved it too. We met several foreign students in Sevilla and they all seemed to love it here. Thanks for the recommendation!

And to Jeff the Camera man it seems to me you have a new camera as a camera shots seem to be crisper in the music to your videos are spot on
And host not only camera man
Can’t wait to see your camera shots if you guys go to Egypt
Will be living through your videos

Hi John! Both Geoff and I do the camera work. Usually the shots that are just scenery are me (Angela, as i have a gimbal that stabilizes these shots) and the shots in which we're talking are Geoff's shots (as his camera has a better microphone.) We share hosting duties though as I think Geoff is much more charming on camera than I am but he disagrees. I also think Geoff does a great job choosing the music and editing to it. I think you should just come to Egypt along with us to see it yourself first-hand.

Hi! We fell in love with Dalyan, and we were just talking yesterday about how we will be so happy to go back to Dalyan one day. For now we're exploring a bit more of the world, but Dalyan has a place in our hearts so we know we'll be back.
