- The Custom '62 Chevy was designed by Hot Wheels Designer Rob Matthes for the 2008 New Models Series. This great casting features a chrome pick-up bed with a small slot in it to hold a surfboard steady. Hot Wheels Collectors were blown away by Robs' design. The Custom '62 Chevy has become one of the most collected and sought after castings in 2008 and it's easy to see why. This truck ready for trip to the beach!
At the end of 2016, this casting was modified: it lost its loose surfboard and gained a sunroof in its roof. A broken surfboard is now cast into the bed.

This is awesome, they make so many variations of this truck already that this will look so nice sitting with them. I'd love to see you do some 80's ultra hots, i'd love to see some of those cars without those funky UH wheels.

Tenho três dúvidas. Que material seria o que usasse como se fosse uma 'dobradiça' a ser fixada nos pedaços de metal? Que spray é usado após o uso de cola? E a tinta aplicada no teto da mini, seria qual tipo? Acrílica?

It is a cyanoacrylate adhesive activator. sold as a set. Speeds up bonding!

On painting the roof white... You didn't airbrush, you painted with a brush. Don't the brush strokes show up by doing it that way? Very nice build though. Great color combo.

Aí é que está o mundo do colecionismo x customização, ou até considero que ambos seguem juntos. Uns curtem as minis sendo originais, outros apreciam e muito as custons.
Eu particularmente gosto de ambos, e se for necessário meto a serra nelas hehehe... Aliás, aonde irá encontrar um Hot Wheels no qual pode-se abrir as portas e capô? Eu desconheço.
Já fui questionado por um dono de loja de brinquedos, do porque da customização. E eu disse que a gente termina o trabalho muitas vezes mal acabada pela Mattel, pois há várias minis que não tem nem a pintura sobre faróis e lanternas, porém, a gente vai muito mais além.
Mas vai de gosto mesmo!
