This is going to be against what everyone is projecting, but I'm hoping the hornets trade back and draft Zach Edey. I know it likely won't happen, but I think whoever gets Edey in this draft is going to be getting the most undervalued player in the draft and a franchise cornerstone for a winning team.

@@papajohn7413 Yeah, just like all those guards have to worry about the rules around carrying the basketball in the NBA. He's going to adapt. You don't pass up a 2 time NCAA player of the year that's 7'5" 300 pounds with soft touch and generationally high efficiency in the paint. Edey is the one that'll bring old school bigs back, I'm calling it now. It's popular to hate on him b/c his game is predictable and not that fun, but it's effective. One day, people are going to look back on this draft and wonder how everyone missed it. That he should have been a top pick will seem obvious in retrospect.
If they trade back with Memphis, you take Aldama as PF…a TRUE PF who is also an excellent 3pt shooter. Stop talking about wing players on Memphis. You could use that #9 pick on a wing player.
I would take one of Sarr. Risarcher, Shepard, Castle, Buzelis at 6.
If all are gone, Clingan is still available, and I would trade back if a first or marcus smart type vet is available.

Then, you can trade him, if it makes sense at that point, for a couple firsts.

We should care greatly about this 6th pick. “Draft experts” are saying drafting 1st this year is like drafting 6th or 7th in a normal draft… so the Hornets are picking what equivalent to around 11th or 12th. Here are the all star caliber players drafted 11th or later over the past decade…
