It’s a Windsor. A quick google search will confirm what’s under the hood of an XY GT. It’s a ford not a Chevy.

Peter Kay look at technical specs for a GTHO on Wiki. Yes I admit they were made with Cleveland’s (My bad). They were also made with Windsor’s.
@@theearthrexdenYou need to look past Wiki, no XY GT was ever produced with a Windsor engine , XWGT was produced with 351 Windsor initially then changed to Cleveland, Windsor engine never saw a GT engine bay after the XW model
Pity Targa rules only allow you to use 6 tyres for the whole event. Prologue tyres should be separate from the main competition :-P

This is an appropriately staged competition event held every year called Targa Tasmania.
The roads are closed off - there are no kids riding around on bikes.
Lots of power, but not the best handling machine. It would be good if it could put the power down properly.

You do realise this has no power steering weighs near on 2 tonne and has leaf sprung live axle rear end. It's not exactly a nimble car.
I think if anything he's an awesome driver to be able to throw that old girl around like that.

Not to mention the fact that he was DELIBERATELY hanging the arse out to give the fans a show .Easy to do , power on before apex , hard to control in an early bird . Superb car control .

This is " HOONING " IN PUBLIC STREETS, except that is a poor excuse to go fanging through residential streets with homes everywhere, and nothing to stop this vehicle from coming off the road and going into someone's home and possibly killing someone, should something go wrong with the car. I can't believe there can be that many IRRESPONSIBLE IDIOTS IN ONE PLACE.
