One of the most overlooked things in recruiting is intelligence. Everyone goes to the combine and likes the physical stats - and those traits are definitely important. But a smart player with slightly less physical gifts will always succeed more consistently in the long run than pure physical talent. Great to hear so many of the Bucs interview sessions and listen to how thoughtful and well spoken that they are. This is the sign of championship football.

Perfect example is Godwin. He doesn't have all the natural God given talents, but through his intelligence and toughness he's made himself one of the top WRs in the league.

Perfectly said. Of course physical traits are extremely important, but IQ for sure is overlooked. A smart player with a high work ethic is an amazing combo. Football is a mental game at the end of the day👌
