You're aware 40k is a parody right? All this stuff you're spouting is meant to be hyperbole and a joke.
It enrages me when I hear people say humans are inferior, a plague on this planet, that we must control our population, hold ourselves back, don't concern ourselves with expanding to space we have problems here, that it is better to pursue hedonism than to build families and pass on your knowledge and wisdom. That honor and discipline are something to ignore, they have no faith in our species. We shall be builders of this world and builders of countless more to come.
All who lack honor shall wither, all who lack faith shall be lost, our loyalty is to humanity. These who seek to see us wither are heretics and far worse than xenos and more deserving of being called 'enemy'. If the enemy seeks war, all he shall find are the angels of death.

i used to believe humanity was going to destroy itself eventually, being nothing but a means to an end of this world; but after i realised that humans arent as simple-minded and tunnel-sighted as i thought, i remembered the fact humanity always has been capable of prevailing. it is constantly advancing, technology has made a serious jump in the last 50 years. if we have made so much progress in so little time, im sure the human race can keep on surviving, no matter the situation; for that is the indomitable human spirit.
During my elementary school, my ethics teacher said the same shit. Called her a traitor and said that she doesn't deserve to teach a human-made notion called "ethics".

Rushing to space is only going to slow us down in the long run. We must build a strong foundation on our home planet before colonizing others. I still think proper space travel would be really cool and am still bummed I will never see it in my lifetime.

There's something inherently beautiful in the wild. It's nature. There's also something inherently beautiful in the artificial magnificence of human creation cut into nature, almost as its a nature unto itself. Even though there's an obvious difference, both are beautiful in their own right.
If humanity loses this planet, we will take another one. If we can't take another one, we will make our world out of a world without life. Inside or outside, humanity will make it beautiful.
If we forsake nature or vise versa, we will make something to rival it, for we are beyond nature. If we ruin this world because of our arrogance and stupidity, we will have the stars. Humans will become beyond Earth.
I get what you mean, but honestly, we are just as natural as any other species or thing. Because in the end, we are also a part of nature. Sure you can differentiate between man made things and not man Made things, but I think people too often try to separate the two. On on side you have the people that say that everything „unnatural“ is bad and humans have to get back to our old ways (whatever that supposes to mean) and then you have people who think humans are better then nature. As a humanist, I agree that we are the dominant species on our planet etc. but the separation is still stupid.
Although I kind of agree bottom line, I'd feel like shit at the thought of our home planet being irreparably poisoned by us, no matter how great our achievements can be. It's cool to think that we can indeed reach the goals what you listed, but I hope we don't have to get there while losing our birthplace in the process, athough to be fair it makes for a pretty cool origin story.

This is so deeply cringe. A bunch of men who have never really done anything with their lives and thus wank off to fictional depictions of the future. They gleefully ignore the problems humanity is causing, both irl and in these stories. Instead they just go "Ah. Big ship. Big gun. It mean humanity strong and good. :)". The average life for any random human in 40k, or even halo during the time these games/settings take place would be utter and complete hell, and in 40k's case its no small part humanity's own fault. 40k isn't some inspiring outlook for the future. The empire is falling apart day after day, there is no hope of a return to greatness, the "God Emperor" is withering entombed near-corpse. If you really just look at big armor, guns, and space ships and ignore everything around it while just making up a bunch of inane garbage about honor or "suffering not the xeno" you're essentially an 8 year old child. You've also got some weird urge to be "supremacist" which is odd, to say the least. I swear, Empire fanboys that unironically support all the junk the game is suppose to be making fun of are some of the most cringe people out there.

What does it matter if the problems humanity suffers are ones of our own making? Does that make us undeserving of life? Does our drive to innovate, to explore and to take a step into the boundless abyss of the universe, the risks we take and the mistakes we make, make us unjustified in our pursuit of life, happiness and expansion into the cosmos? Yes, we have made mistakes. Yes, we are an imperfect civilization. But our actions, our mistakes and our cruelties have always been committed in pursuit of a better future, of a deeper understanding of the universe we inhabit.
What would you have us do? Sit idly by, never accomplishing miracles, never exploring new frontiers, never taking risks because it could have negative impacts? Should we be required to restrict ourselves from innovation for the sake of some other species, which will likely never be grateful for that which we have sacrificed? Should we simply be content with our lives, never dreaming of the worlds beyond, never daring to test and break through the limits of human capability?
The pursuit of the betterment of our own species, of the expansion of our habitation and the destruction of those who would seek to subjugate or eliminate us is just in my eyes. If I or my generation has to suffer for the sake of those to come, then so be it. I would gladly lay down life and limb for the defense and expansion of humanity.
